Meanwhile, on the other corner, Lucca’s teams headed to compete at the Science Olympiad States competition this weekend. The two events Lucca was in placed 6th, just one off from Metal 🥲. We know how hard you worked on these build events. We’re so proud of you for continuing when you were so frustrated that you wanted to give up many times. I know it’s not a college acceptance letter, but I’m so thrilled and proud that Jaiden is invited to join the Film Department at #CSSSA2023 this summer. Happy Birthday, Lucca! Wishing you an amazing 14th year! To a boy named after a city in Italy. Who loves pizza and pasta (of course)! Who hates shrimp and mushrooms. Who loves airplanes and flying and is really good with using his hands and building. Who loves puzzles and solving problems. Who gets excited to do Octordle and jigsaws until the last piece is placed. Who loves cats but hates cockroaches. Who loves mint chocolate chip ice cream and brownies. Who gets cranky when he’s hungry. Who loves to cook and makes a mean omelet. Who loves Scouting, camping and being outdoors. Who loves space and wants to be an astronaut, not because it sounds cool for a 14-year-old to say he wants to be that when he grow up, but because he truly deeply loves everything about space. Lucca did his O-Ride (Orientation Ride) today with Civil Air Patrol on a Cessna. The pilot said Lucca did 80-90% of the flying himself.
