It’s sad That the only reason I havent killed myself yet Is because I don’t want to hurt anyone But the reason I want to kill myself Is because Everyone is hurting me.

maybe I’m just a sad girl with a smile that’s not real & maybe you fell in love with the smile not the sad girl behind it & maybe that’s why you left the sad girl began to trust you & the smile slowly faded away & then so did you

Depression
Depression isn’t like the movies. It’s not a single tear rolling down your cheek. It’s not a little bit of smeared make-up but still looking perfect. There’s no one picking up your broken pieces and fixing you. Depression is sobbing in the middle of the night. It’s running to the bathroom to cry because you can’t show how weak you feel. It’s crying and screaming at the same time because crying just isn’t enough to let it all out. It’s also feeling numb. You’ve cried so much there’s no tears left to spare. It’s cutting your hair so you won’t cut your body but it never works anyway because soon enough you run out of hair to cut and you see the blood pouring down your thighs once again. It’s feeling convinced that no one loves you and everyone someone tries to tell you they do, you push them away because you don’t believe them. It’s puffy eyes and having to buy so much make-up because you keep smearing it and you need to hide the bags under your eyes. There’s no one there to help. There are too many broken pieces to put back together. No one bothers and when they try to, you push them away. Depression is the hidden razor blade in your drawer. It’s the million goodbye letters you’ve written that you wonder when you’ll use. It’s looking up ways to die. It’s feeling so lonely at night and daydreaming about the perfect universe all day that you can’t do anything else. It’s laying in bed in the morning trying to force yourself to get up but you can’t. You just can’t. It’s being too tired to brush your teeth and brush your hair and it’s feeling so happy when it’s finally winter so you can finally wear long sleeves without people getting suspicious. Depression is not being able to take it anymore and you finally take out all the goodbye letters from your drawer and put them on your desk. It’s hugging your pets and your siblings and it’s looking at all the people you still love and telling then you love them because it’ll be the last time you say it. And then you say your last word before you go. Goodbye.

when sad, stressed or anxious
A simple masterpost just to let you know of some things that have helped me, and you can do to help yourself x
For starters- picking yourself up: • Have a wash i don’t know why this helps but it does. Take a shower, wash your face or just add some dry shampoo. • Brush your hair until its all silky! this somehow relaxes me (and makes me feel like a mermaid) • Do your makeup make yourself feel as pretty as you can! • Stretch and do a little exercise Stretch out “bad energy”..sounds lame I know. I feel like a new person when i’m done though. Don’t do anything too strenuous just remind yourself you still have a body and it’s still working as well as ever. • Clean your room/desk/house being in a tidy environment will lead to a tidy(er) mind • Open the window You’ve probably been completely isolating yourself from any outside noises so its time to open the window and get some fresh air in your lungs.
Occupying yourself: • Read a book. this has been my go to for so long. Lose yourself in a different world!! • Colouring a scientifically proven (http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/5975832) de-stressor • Journal whether you want to journal about your feelings or keep it only for happy thoughts and quotes, it can really help clear your head. Its what I do when I want to create something, even if its a bit crap!! • Turn the internet off for a bit honestly, just take some time out for yourself. • Have a pet? they love you more than anyone, give them a cuddle or just spend some time with them. Apparently theres some science involved too: http://www.m.webmd.com/depression/features/pets-depression
Occupying yourself on public transport/out and about: • Tangle http://www.tanglecreations.com light little toy that can be thrown in your bag and carried anywhere and anywhere • Edamame Bean Pod Keyring&Phone Charm http://www.tofucute.com/endless-edamame-popping-soybean~p142.html fairly cheap little charm i have attached to my keys and take everywhere with me. Keeps your hands busy and is super cute too which is a bonus • Bobbles you’ve probably got hundreds floating around, always keep one on your wrist to fiddle with or snap against your wrist if needed • Wear a ring twizzle it around your finger. • Draw on your hands no you’re not going to get ink poisoning
Apps & sites: • Stop, Breathe & Think (FREE) Meditation app. Spoken instructions for meditating plus a really nice layout and the feeling that the app sort of..cares about you? Really great app. • Relax Melodies: Sleep zen sounds (FREE) Easily mix and match a wide vatiety of soothing sounds and melodies for sleep and anxiety/stress relief. • Rainymood.com Exactly what it says. Rain. Put it on in the background, very calming.
please add to this post with all that helped you personally !!
