i looked for her - jackienat middle school gfs au
Tag List: @vamprel
Jackie
She wanted to bite her tongue until it bled.
As she pulled Shauna out of the plane, her stomach roiled. Guilt from leaving Van trapped in that seat was choking her worse than the smoke was.
That wasn’t the worst part.
The worst part wasn’t that the plane had gone down, or that she had just thrown her best friend out of the burning wreckage of the plane. Or that one of her teenmates— sweet, happy, smiley Van Palmer— was probably going to die.
The worst part was that she had looked for Nat first.
Jackie and Shauna hit the ground with a dull thud, and Shauna wrested herself from her grip. She caught Natalie’s eyes and, unbidden, clear air filled her lungs in a sharp inhale of relief. Nat took a single step forward towards her before she turned away, her movements doll-like and stuttered.
She could barely hear— let alone respond to— Shauna’s indignantly righteous monologue. The breath that entered her lungs whistled in her ears and drowned out the screams and cries of her other teammates.
Natalie
Watching Jackie throw herself and Shauna to the ground made her feel sick.
A flaming death trap that had just flung them from the sky was an easy enough obstacle when it came to Shauna.
A few rumors and the whispers around Wiskayok Middle School had been enough for Jackie to drop her like a hot coal.
Their eyes met, and though it was only for a moment, it made the pounding in her head (from the drugs and alcohol, or maybe the plane crash?) exponentially worse. There was a genuinely worried glint in Jackie’s eyes, which softened the moment she looked over at Nat.
She wanted to vomit.
“Do you even love him?” Natalie had asked her once, after practice. It was before Jackie had risen to power as Captain, back in freshman year.
Jackie had looked at her with a strange look of sad self-acceptance and pity. “Who else would I love?”
Jackie
The warmth campfire brought a flush to her cheeks.
Natalie’s proximity to her only made it worse. She couldn’t help but stare as the bleach-blonde laughed at Lottie’s admission.
She wanted to make her laugh.
“I used to…” She took a deep breath, realizing that she had spoken before she knew what she wanted to say, “sneak downstairs after everybody had gone to bed and…” Jackie tucked her tongue into her cheek as Nat’s head turned, her gaze landing— finally— on her. “Watch the Color of Night, so I could pause it on Bruce Willis’ wang.”
Natalie snorted, and it made Jackie smile. She remembered, vaguely, admitting the same thing to Nat years before.
Natalie
She and Jackie were the last to fall asleep.
Jackie’s eyes were darting between the rest of the girls and the sky.
“Jacqueline,” Natalie spoke in a voice barely above a whisper.
Her gaze shot to her. Not many people knew her full name— Mrs. Taylor had yelled it once, when they were kids, and Natalie had never forgotten it. “What, Nat?”
Nat bit the inside of her cheek. “You chose her over me.” She wanted to shrink into her jacket, or throw herself into the fire. She sounded like the same whiny middle schooler that Jackie had left behind years ago.
“I know,” Jackie nodded, expression softening and mouth quirking downwards. “I shouldn’t have.”
Jackie
The cabin was a saving grace.
Maybe. The state of it made her want to crawl out of her skin. Whatever was going on with Shauna did, too.
They slept on the floor. Not that Jackie could close her eyes. It was too much like when they were kids, with Natalie’s sleeping warmth pressed against her.
“Jackie.” A whisper met her ears, and she sat up just enough to look down at where Nat was sleeping against her legs. “Are you awake?”
“I am now.” She shifted forwards as Nat sat up as well. “Is something wrong?”
She shook her head. “What you said about me, the night before the crash…” Her dark eyes met Jackie’s. “Did you mean it?”
I love that you don’t care what anyone else thinks. And you’re so completely yourself.
“Of course I did. I wouldn’t have said it otherwise.” She drew her knees up to her chest. “Why do you care?”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
Natalie
A seance. Of course, Jackie had proposed a seance.
She was strangly into it. Natalie had to stifle a laugh; Jackie was growing more and more upset as the girls asked the “spirit” trivial questions.
After rolling her eyes as someone asked about a girl’s fake boobs, Jackie looked over at Nat. “It’s just like our old sleepovers.” She grinned in that way she always did: with her entire face, not just her mouth. She quickly turned back to Shauna, though, watching with a strange sort of admiration that permeated her gaze. Always her.
But I’m still invisible to you.
“Feels like it.” She whispered back, her fingers drumming a nonsensical rhythm on her knees.
Jackie
Fucking Travis. That’s where Natalie had been while the rest of them were starving.
They came waltzing back to the cabin, hand in hand, a flush on their cheeks and all but glowing.
She wanted to tear out his throat.
She did the next best thing.
Natalie
Jackie was going to fuck Travis.
Jackie could pretend all she wanted that it was an entirely self-serving choice.
Natalie knew why she did it.
She had a fool-proof way of getting under Nat’s skin, she always had. Even as kids, Jackie could always set her blood boiling with one look.
She couldn’t tell if the roiling fire she felt in her throat was caused by Jackie’s hands on Travis’ shoulder, or by Travis’ hand on Jackie’s waist.
Jackie
It was cold outside. Really cold. The kind of cold where your eyes hurt whenever you open them.
Her paltry fire wasn’t helping much, nor were the thin blankets she had grabbed on the way out.
And as the cold settled into her bones, she realized: if it was Natalie instead of Shauna, she would still be inside.

♡゙ warnings.. none! hair changes don't matter :p
♡゙ words.. 316.
✎ᝰ. jinx notes.. i luv them so much 😿😿 also omg jinx archivesctrccio posting twice in the same day? rare. very rare.
╰► Jackie is the one who cooks for all of you, you pretend to help just so you can taste-test the food. Natalie just stands at the counter looking pretty and can't touch the pots because it's an explosion hazard.
╰► When you lie down on the couch, you and Jackie each take a corner and Nat lays her head on Jackie's lap and her legs on your lap.
╰► nat is sick and you and jackie do everything you can to make nat comfortable. Jackie goes for an impromptu trip to the store to buy chicken noodle soup, you rummage through cabinets to find medicine, and you and jackie keep trying to keep the smile on nat's face.
╰► jackie and nat are home while you’re at work doing karaoke and in their panties, You come home early, catch them, and stand in the doorway smiling at your idiot girlfriends.
╰► nat coming in late and seeing you and jackie cuddling on the couch with blankets over you, and trying not to wake you up as he joins you
╰► You and Jackie go out to the park, Nat says she's staying home and doesn't say why. You and Jackie come back and find Nat in the kitchen smelling of freshly baked cookies and to your surprise, Nat didn't burn anything, standing by the counter with a proud smile on her face.
╰► you start having a sensory overload and everyone else quietly jumps into action. nat pulls all the curtains across the windows and turns off the lights. Jackie tries to grab a weighted blanket. Nat has to help Jackie carry the weighted blanket.
╰► Jackie always leaves her accessories lying around the house, while you try to pick them all up and put them in her jewelry box, Nat just picks the ones she likes and wears them throughout the day.
normal conversations that you guys have!

favorite photo from your camera roll! (you, jackie and nat respectively)

domestic roommates headcanons! | 🚬🎀

summary : silly headcanons about dating and living with jackienat !
pairings : jackie taylor x fem!reader x natalie scatorccio
warnings : none! just fluff :]
notes: this is intended to take place in a no-crash au. i hope you enjoy!
— a good portion of your outfits are mismatched between your own clothes, things from jackie’s wardrobe, and something natalie forgot on the couch last week.
— nat is no better than you; she steals any and everything she finds fits her aesthetic, or is comfortable, or even just smells like you or jackie
— jackie pretends the outfit stealing is a heinous crime, but her heart swells every time she gets to see one (or, more likely, both) of you in her clothes. not as big of a fan of clothes-stealing herself, as she has a strict aesthetic to keep up appearances with!!
— jackie loves loves loves to do both you & nat’s makeup!! she’ll straddle your waist and insist it helps her be more accurate
— nat always gets chastised by jackie for smoking inside the apartment !! she’s absolutely awful at hiding it too—she usually flirts her way out of actually getting in trouble!
— neither of them can cook. or bake. or be trusted alone in the kitchen. they’ll say they can, but do not trust their innocent looking eyes are pouty lips; that’s how you get the smoke alarms set off and the fire department called to your building
— both enjoy being held a significant amount while cuddling! they’ll hold you too if you ask, but their preference is abundantly clear to you!
— jackie & nat often bicker over which film to pick for movie date night! nat always wants horror or action, while jackie wants silly rom-coms!
— nat doesn’t really take offense to being outnumbered so long as she can tease about the film choice, but jackie gets a little pouty if she doesn’t get her way! she’ll cheer up with some cuddles, though :]
— unless it’s a horror movie. you and nat are almost always going to sleep on the couch if you choose horror
— decorating the apartment was a bit of a nightmare. jackie wanted everything to be themed, and nat just wanted something cozy. you often had to play mediator while choosing your new home’s aesthetic
— nat and you like to go up to the roof to stargaze! jackie will join sometimes, but she usually leaves before it gets too chilly!
— if you’re tall, they rely on you heavily to reach things on the tall shelves! it’s kind of cute and you totally like it a normal amount; you definitely don’t put things they’ll need up high so they need to ask for help!

little continuation of this

more pictures nat has taken of jackie…
natalie buying jackie that shirt when she spots it at a nearby store as she’s picking up some food for them in little italy - jackie starts wearing it all the time at home and it basically becomes her go-to-sleepwear lmao 😭
jackie not smoking as much as nat does but she still does occasionally… when she’s feeling stressed from school/her job, early in the morning or late at night, and nat just can’t help but take a picture 🙂↕️
the two of them, no matter how busy they get with school/working, make sure they have at least one date night a week, whether it be a night out at a restaurant/club, or just staying in and watching a movie together (they alternate who picks the snacks and the movies every other time)
AND ALSO…. what if this is in a spider-nat!au…. like… before they’re dating and before jackie knows about nat’s secret identity… maybe they have a few classes together, and jackie also has a job as a photographer at the daily bugle and her main job is to take pictures of spider-nat…
(and this all ties into how once they begin dating, being with jackie has gotten nat to start taking pictures a Whole lot more/she kind of gets nat into photography 🙂↕️)

Our Yellowjackets collage!au
Hi hello, welcome to the very specific collage shaunanat au that I and the amazing wonderful @ssaintofthelostcauses made!
Here’s a little smau, explanation and lore of the characters (Natalie Scatorccio, Jackie Taylor and Taissa Turner); find Shauna Shipman, Lottie Matthews, Van Palmer and Laura Lee over on Ro’s page!
Mains: Shauna Shipman and Natalie Scatorccio
Side characters: Lottie Matthews, Van Palmer, Taissa Turner, Laura Lee and Jackie Taylor
Background/Rarely mentioned: Travis Martinez, Mari Ibarra
************
—Natalie Scatorccio—

Nat is a student at Brown who befriended the infamous Jackie Taylor, weaseling her way into her friend group. She’s soon very accepted and joins their soccer team as well. Everything is amazing up until she has an affair with one of them - the community strap, Shauna Shipman. She’s a psych major, a kind soul who wants to help people that went through similar things as she did.
Pairings:
x Shauna Shipman - situationship/sneaky link
x Lottie Matthews - platonic (mostly, wouldn’t be an ang thing if there was no lottienat)
x Jackie Taylor - platonic (best friend)
x Van Palmer - platonic
x Taissa Turner - platonic
x Laura Lee - platonic
x Travis Martinez - romantic (briefly)
—Jackie Taylor—

Jackie Taylor is as popular on campus as can be, a fem lesbian with loving friends and a large social circle. She runs the Phi Beta sorority which gained her a following on her socials as well. A marketing major, destined for success and fame. Unfortunately finds herself in the middle of the Shaunanat mess.
Pairings:
x Natalie Scatorccio - platonic (best friend)
x Shauna Shipman - friend/sneaky link
x Lottie Matthews - platonic
x Van Palmer - platonic
x Taissa Turner - platonic
x Laura Lee - platonic
—Taissa Turner—

Taissa is a beautiful, collected and elegant girl. She’s got her shit together, and is basically married to Van. Obviously in pre law, uses her argumentative side to her advantage. She’s very big on tough love, especially when it comes to her deranged bestie, Shauna. Who wouldn’t want her in their life?
Pairings:
x Shauna Shipman - platonic (best friend)
x Lottie Matthews - platonic (best friend)
x Van Palmer - romantic
x Natalie Scatorccio - platonic
x Jackie Taylor - platonic
x Laura Lee - platonic
Here’s a small rundown on the story: There’s a happy little gay friend group over at Brown University along with their token straight bisexual friend Nat. All goes well until Shauna decides she wants a piece of her, not caring about the consequences or the fact that Natalie is taken. One by one the girls find out, last to know was Jackie who was secretly hooking up with Shauna as well. This all sparks drama, arguments and fights, breakups, and wounds to friendships.
or
Comphet Natalie, Fratboy!Shauna, angelic Taivan and Lottielee. Shautietai & Jackienat bestfriendism.
Ending: Natalie ends up with Evangeline and they have three cats and a wedding in Thailand; Rowan fucks around with Shauna and cries himself to sleep every night.

opinions on shaunanat?
Actually deadass I love them... pre-melissa reveal as a love interest for Shauna I really expected the ship to take off in s3.
Their dynamic is really interesting because they were (and still kind of are) two of the biggest skeptics, and they kind of bonded over that. S1 they're kinda meh in the teen tl, but s2 I loved their dynamic.
Nat was so boyfriend when Shauna was giving birth, and she was the only one in Shauna's hallucination to really care about her after the baby was born.
Bring me back my only somewhat toxic yuri they would've been such a power couple.

The night of the fire was the same night that Natalie was chosen to be leader. And I saw the look on your face, the disappointment you had. Are you upset that you weren't chosen to be leader? […] After everything that you've done? After everything that you have been through to survive?

I’ve been thinking about something while watching Ginny & Georgia. There are many beautiful parallels between Georgia and Joe, and Ginny and Marcus, but what stands out the most to me is the way they make them feel safe.

In Season 1, when Georgia is asked what she really wants, she doesn’t say love, success, or even happiness. She simply says:
“I wanna feel safe enough that I can just be free.”
That line says everything. That’s her whole story. Her deepest dream, her truest wish, her ultimate goal. For years, Georgia survived behind a carefully crafted mask pretty smiles, charm, control, and quick lies, all woven into the fragile armor she built to protect herself.
She wasn’t who she really was, just who people needed her to be. But deep down, she hoped to find someone one day who could truly see her, accept her without judgment, and choose to stay.
And Georgia says it herself, more than once:
“You know what I like about you, Joe? I never feel like you’re judging me.” And later, it becomes even clearer: “What I love about you is that you never judge me.” Notice the shift from like to love. That’s how safe he made her feel.
Then, in Season 2, Ginny admits she feels safe with Marcus and suddenly, something clicks for Georgia. She understands exactly what that means, because she’s felt it too… with Joe. Almost like a quiet confession, she tells Marcus:
“She knows what it’s like to be loved by a man who makes her feel safe.” “That’s huge. To feel safe.”
In that moment, it’s clear she’s not just speaking for Ginny, she’s speaking for herself too.
Because with Joe, it’s different. No masks, no lies. Just stillness, softness, and truth. For once, she’s allowed to just be. Not survive. Just live.
Georgia, who constantly lives in flight mode, always moving, always running from her past and trauma, only found a safe place in Joe’s presence. He’s the only man she felt truly herself with.

By Season 3, there’s no doubt: Joe is her refuge, her quiet, steady harbor. The place her heart has always longed to return to. The boy whose kindness stayed with her. The man who sees her for who she truly is… and stays anyway.
He’s the one who remained when everyone else walked away. Always there for her. The one who embraces her chaos and loves her all the same.

And that’s where the beautiful parallel lies: Joe is to Georgia what Marcus is to Ginny.
They accept them fully, exactly as they are, with all their flaws, secrets, and scars. They love them unconditionally, without trying to fix or change anything.
They are the quiet harbors in their storms, safe places where hearts can rest. Steady, gentle loves that hold without asking for more. They offer comfort, stability, and a refuge from the chaos around them.

Joe is Georgia’s anchor, grounding her through every trial and storm. Marcus is Ginny’s steady presence, a calm in the middle of life’s upheavals.
Ginny and Georgia found exactly what they had been searching for, and what they truly needed all along: a love that lets them feel safe, truly seen, and finally free.
Sometimes love is a blaze of passion, but more often, it’s the quiet feeling of finally coming home.

Before I write my actual review, I have to say one thing. Ginny's heart beats more for Marcus than for Maxine because Marcus is and always has been her best friend and closest confidant. The rift between Maxine and Ginny began the moment she decided to have that secret thing with Marcus, and then at the beginning of the second season, when she learned everything about her mother and was isolated by Maxine and literally pushed into Marcus and Abby's arms because Max treated them like garbage too. That's when it was sealed that Marcus was and always will be her best friend. This caused a chain reaction in which Ginny, who initially only had MANG, formed her own safe space with Marcus, Abby, and Bracia. Maxine and Ginny never rekindled their bond because it was already weak and ultimately broke the moment Ginny was pushed away. So, it doesn't surprise me, and I don't blame Ginny, that she seeks comfort from everyone except Maxine. BUT, I'm still very much on Maxine's side when we talk about actions and wordings. Because her POV made me realize her pain and how hurtful the girls behaved, which at first didn't seem so bad because most of the excluding happened naturally at first from the outside. But when they started to do it on purpose ... The girls were horrible to her, and I think the writers went a bit too far. I get that Ginny and Abby don't see Max as their 'person' as explained in the beginning but dang they shouldn't have been so nonchalant and unempathetic about it. Abby did not surprise me (love her though) but Ginny really shocked and scared me. Like girl that was not nice! In the end the whole plot is not black and white to me and I appreciate how I can feel both sides. But we still could've said and done things differently. No words for Norah she's just a bird.
