at what point does a clone stop being a clone. Rolan isn’t the kid at the bottom of the Bayou, he’s the man that went to chicago and went to university and got a job and went into law. Does Becky stop being Becky just because she’s an insect now, how do you draw the line between imposter and the new self when the original is gone, they had all their memories, thoughts and feelings and attachments, rolan even made his own, made himself without knowing it. At what point do you look at the thing that became the person you loved and know without a doubt there wouldn’t be a difference between them even if one was an insect.
