Nessa K, you and your photos are perfection. If you photographed my wedding one day.....my life would be blessed and filled even more. 

when i’m alone, i interact with my surroundings more. i thank my tea kettle for it’s enthusiasm when it jitters to a boil, i pat some of my animal knick backs on their heads, pickles and i have longer conversations than she would like, i think, and recently, i’ve began to take a few self portraits. Nothing conceptual yet, I’m mostly building up my nerve.

want everyone to be super curious about what you’re doing and stare at you in public? no? then don’t do self portraits, apparently.

Over the past 3 years, I have posted hundreds and hundreds of songs. Some new. Some old. Some of them painted in chords of sadness and defeat. Others bathed in deep breaths and slow, patient words. 

But nothing has come close to describing my affection for these two. I’ve spent evenings on their back porch and mornings sharing cups of coffee. I’ve laughed until my face hurts and danced until I was sore. I’ve had more honest conversations and genuine words than I can count. Andy and Kyle remain the most important folks in my life- and today is a big day. Their sophomore album “Struggle Pretty” has officially hit iTunes! 

If my music recommendations hold any stock in your book, check this one out. Dissect the words and pick apart the harmonies. Have it playing as the soundtrack for first dates and 10 year anniversaries. For hard conversations and roadtrip sunsets. For moving forward and letting go.
