I feel like a lot of food companies will say something is perfectly normal food when it's actually poison. But a lot of other food companies will say something is poison when it's actually perfectly normal food and try to sell you a more expensive version of that food. In conclusion, both white rice and brown rice are pretty good just be sure to wash them, do not ask me about anything else.

Fun fact I watched the black swan (2010) on some streaming service and liked it because I'm always down for psychological horror, and call me by your name was one of the reccomend movies under "more like the black swan!" I'd heard the title of call me by your name before but didnt really know the plot so I spent a whole hour and a half waiting for some horrible break with reality to happen with Timothee Champaige and cut someone or something. Ig it was recommended because both characters experienced some.. gay attraction or something?
Anyways speaking of Aronofsky I did not care for The Whale.
gonna be a hater for a minute, reblog and put in the tags the last movie that you HATED like viscerally hated like 1/2 star on letterboxd HATED
#Call me by your name was like fine its whatever. Had some nice shots.#As far as gay Italian movies its inferior to Luca#But I'm not gay or italian so take that with a grain of salt

havent been to the bay area in a minute but thinking about downtown oakland and that one singular greasy burger shop that's that's like the food is fine and all but I'm pretty sure the success behind their business model is that they're the only non-alcohol-centric joint open till 2am. In the downtown of a large city.
Edward Hopper's 1942 painting Nighthawks evokes a simpler time when it was normal for restaurants to be open after 8pm
#Ig there was nation burger too but We didnt go to nation burger because frankly anything that happened in there was none if my buisness#If you know you know

I slept on it and here are my thoughts for the 2.3 people who care:
Unholy lover: as much as I think that's a snappy title, this is by far the weakest track on the EP. like an even more undercooked flexorcist, which is already a song of theirs i don't particularly care for but at least was like… a full song. This one is kind of just a vague, synth-wavey 80s inspired melody, not even an especially memorable one, that repeats itself a few times without adding anything or changing, and then it fades. Which I didnt mind on, say, 7 horses (i have other gripes on that one but the melody was nice) but this melody is not even that snazzy! In the context of this EP, it sounds less dark than the other songs, kind of out of place, it's just not "spooky techno vampire" idk. Being the first track on the EP, it's a solid skip for me. It may have worked as an interlude on a longer album but here as 1/4 of the songs included, it just feels unnecessary.
TLDR: cool title the rest of it is forgettable
Blue demon: this one was apparently released as a single already but completely flew by me. All in all, I like it! It has some cool sounding industrial undertones combined with the more digital sounds, creating a cool atmosphere that evokes both their incredible OG album tyranny with some of their more modern sounds. The melody is quite catchy, it's not an S tier voidz song for me but maybe a B+ on par with prophecy of the dragon at least. I don't have a lot else to say! Just a pretty solid song!
Russian coney island: a very long awaited song. There is apparently only one(?) Recording of this song from several years ago at a live performance that was quite beloved, so the hype can either make or break how you feel about this one. Overall I'm not sure which version I prefer but it is really nice to have an official high quality version available on streaming services. I do kind of miss the cooler, lounge sounding vibe of the live version, I like that the live one had less autotune particularly on the intro, and I thought I slightly preferred the guitar solo… but both guitar solos are solid. This one sounds a bit more disco (ra-ra-raspitin???) with a beat that's kind of sinister, kind of sexy. It's also nice to finally have official lyrics. I think the live ver referenced him complaining about the venue and Dora the Explorer which tragically did not translate. Overall I really love this song, S tier for me, aside from the intro I think the autotune isnt as bad as I initially perceived it, and its absolutely worth a listen. Yes I've had it on repeat for like four days. Yes I dread the day I'll go numb to it.
Drifto: this one actually grew on me a LOT more than I thought it would on first listen. My initial impression was that the melody sounded a lot like "blood of a mutt," a somewhat obscure song from the somewhat obscure surf rock band, the growlers, which I only mention because it was also produced by Julian. But the two songs have a different texture. The intro is really interesting and sounds more… theatrical? Than his normal performance. Almost like the cure or joy division or something. After the intro I really enjoy the contrast between the slow, somber lullaby-like segments and the more harsh, distorted elements. It's a unique one for sure. Overall its different enough to be interesting while fitting in really well with the other heartwrenching somber outros on Voidz projects, off to war and pointlessness. Whether or not it stands alone is still to be determined.
I'm all for artists having creative freedom but there needs to be someone whos job it is to sit in the studio with Julian Casablancas and spray him with a water bottle every time he goes too heavy on the autotune

Aw always love to see the art with the model! Thanks for your support!

Very pleased with the art I commissioned from @bedupolker for my wife's B-day (and she was blown away by it). Now our newest kitten acquisition is immortalized as he should be - a hoarder of all colorful and crinkly plastics.
