Okay like I can totally relate to a lot of the things that lesbolution says about male entitlement and men making her uncomfortable and for a long time I subscribed to her ideal that penis=scary and penis=not a woman and I am completely mortified that I ever looked up to her. And she says that she's all for protecting women from gendered violence but she completely supports the idea that trans women are somehow trying to trick people, and that idea causes countless acts of violence against women... So what makes her any different than those violent men she hates so much. I'm sorry but I absolutely cannot let that shit slide just because she's supposed to be some big ole victim or whatever. If you cannot wrap your head around the fact that trans women are just as much women as she is don't preach that toxic, violent shit and expect people to coddle you because you've experienced gendered violence. The COMPLETELY false idea she has that trans women are trying to infiltrate womanhood to hurt cis women IS IN ITSELF gendered violence. And trans women will fight to defend themselves from that crap, so will their allies, it's not an unsolicited attack at her it's survival.

Lesbolution is a fucking disgrace. In what world is Laverne Cox telling women how to attract men? When has she ever in all of history so much as hinted to men's opinions being a driving force in womanhood? If anything she preaches the exact opposite.
And another thing. I can guarantee that lesbolution is nowhere near as critical of cis activists with the same message as Laverne Cox. By absolutely no means does being trans mean Laverne or any other trans woman has less authority to speak about what it means to be a woman. In fact I would argue that trans women have far more comprehensive understandings of womanhood. But yeah, lesbolution, we all know how "bad" and "scary "and "deceiving" trans women are to you. We know you don't think they deserve to be included in women's only spaces. And we aaaaaalllllll know that you will continue to spew hateful shit about wonderful women who are doing more for feminism than you or any other TWERF will ever do and damn straight we'll fight tooth an nail to protect trans women from your poison. Keep trans women's names off your blog and out of your mouth for once in your damn life.

This didn't even cross my mind when I rebloged that one post. My sincere apologies, it seems completely obvious now.
animal testing is absolutely deplorable but idg how people think that forced human testing on prisoners is any better no matter what they’ve done
do you not understand the historical context of forced or coerced experimentation on ppl especially in prison

Quote
The idea that bisexual women are only identifying as bisexual as a ploy to receive attention from straight men plays into a much uglier and violent side of the bisexual experience. It ignores the fact that much of the attention that we do receive from straight men is unsolicited and inappropriate. There is an implication within the BiForAttention sentiment that we are constantly desperate or wanting for the attention of men as bisexual women, and therefore we must always be inherently consenting to the attention that we are receiving, even when that attention exists in the form of harassment, invalidation, misogyny, stalking, abuse, or objectification, as it so often does.
Some of my thoughts from a discussion on #BiForAttention. (via bi-privilege)
