finishing watching MHA right now (or catching up at least haha)

and jeez, it’s making me so depressed. I couldn’t handle the Hawks v Dabi fight after Twice died since I know as a spoiler his wings got burned really bad after that, so I looked up if he got his wings back, and apparently they get stolen by AFO + then destroyed. good lord that’s depressing

and then I’m at the Star and Stripe fight and I see she can’t make her Quirk work against Shigaraki and obv she wasn’t gonna win this but there’s no way her Quirk gets stolen right? Looked it up and yeah no. So depressing

I’ve already been told I won’t like the ending, by someone who only knows that I like Himiko, so I’m guessing she dies? I heard Aizawa can’t use his Quirk anymore. Hawks ends up losing his Quirk, and those beautiful Fierce Wings are totally destroyed forever. I’ve heard rumors that Izuku doesn’t get to grow up to be a hero after all, I’m guessing his body ends up too busted? That’s so crushingly sad.

And for what? Honestly, Tomura should’ve died at Jakku. He never should’ve been revived in the first place, most bull crap thing ever. He shouldn’t have survived the fight with Deku, Dynamight, Jeanist, Hawks, Eraserhead and Endeavor right afterward. The villains can face the literal worst odds known to man, literally theoretically lethal stuff, and still survive? How is that fair?

NOTICING how albedo, venti, and kaeya's backs are facing towards us and theyre looking back at us AND their faces being covered in shadow (venti especially) while jean, aether, and paimon arent looking at us and their faces are in the light

like, we're all in agreement that khaenri'ah will be playing a big enough role right? maybe jean will find about albedo and kaeya's heritage, i wonder what the note the traveler is holding is about, with dragonspine + albedo in the picture, there might be another durin appearance or mention

with venti's face being covered in the shadows and his ominous "shhh", he's obviously hiding something BIG that could relate to his archonhood + MAYBE the destruction of khaenri'ah? there's a good chance of a hexenzirkel/rhinedottir mention too

also, all this before going to nod krai/snezhnaya? SOMETHING BIG IS HAPPENINGGGGG

do you know where "no beta we die like x" comes from and how it is used?

The term "beta" in this context is short for "beta reader" - a person who reads a fic while it's still in the editing stage and helps the writer get it ready to post. Some betas check grammar. Some check canon compliance. Some are sensitivity readers. There are lots of things that betas can do.

So functionally, saying "no beta" means that the writer didn't get this checked by a second person before they posted it. It's a warning that there might be errors or typos etc. It's mostly used when an author has written something quickly and is posting without doing a lot of (or any) edits first.

As for where it comes from? It all started with a bumper sticker.
