lost in those afflicted two am musings in the taciturn seclusion of a seoulite rooftop, he watches the stars glitter like sugar spilled over black marble as the crisp wind of an early winter blows his hair into a tousled mane. 

the dreamy twinkle of the starry sky splayed before him makes his breathing deepen a little bit as he feels it vibrate somehow, whispering in a way ears cannot hear, the promise of light after dark, of kindness when the world feels so devoid of empathy.

one star seems to shine brighter than the others, one that has been named after him; lee hoseok, in a burst of love from a million aching hearts. The watery streaks remind him of so many little notes pulsing with love, sincerity, devotion, and unwavering support, and a sense of warmth springs from the cold as the night’s deep ebony feathers drape his soul in a blanket of newfound hope.
