been reading about stories about people from eastern european countries meeting people from france, germany etc and them having abysmal knowledge about their country. as a finn I've heard a lot of stories about foreigners thinking finland is a part of russia or that finland is not a member of the EU. even people in other nordic countries may have minimal knowledge about finland. so if you're from a big european country and you feel the need to mock americans for not knowing basic geography, do take a moment to place for example latvia or serbia on a map yourself and think about what you know about them. jackass
