Xiaoli shook her head. “No... But he probably thinks I’m too sick to go. I’m not.” As long as they had a doctor on hand, and she brought her medication with her, Xiaoli didn’t see why she couldn’t travel. Even her mother thought it would alright this time. Xiaoli had no need to learn about the Empire, not being in line for the throne, but that didn’t mean she wanted to spend her entire life in Zaofu.

Badir looked up from her paper work to see Xiaoli standing in the door way of her study, with a small wave or her hand she gestured for the girl to enter the room. “I’m able to speak yes, what is it you need Xiaoli?” she said in a neutral tone as she focused back down at the paper work scattered on her desk.

“Hey, look at that!” He smiled, picking her up and setting her down to sit on his desk before examining the jewelry carefully, “Wow, that’s really good.”
