I want to apologise for my inconsistency on this blog. Between needing breaks from writing and then opening a gif blog that then took up most of my time and muse, I've barely been around here. In January, I decided to give indie a go, and unfortunately, I just don't think it's for me.
So, because of this, I'm going back to what I know best..discord 1x1s. So if anyone who I currently write with, or if you follow me and want to write, and you rp on discord definitely let me know as I'd love to either keep things going or set up new stuff!

"Yeah, right. Sorry," Freya flashed a brief smile at the other. She had been so focused on the fact that Kobie was married that she had just discarded everything else. Flirting with strangers at a bar was already completely out of the brunette's comfort zone. So flirting with a married woman had caught her off guard. Kobie moved closer, but Freya stood her ground, keeping the eye contact; she liked the shared proximity. It sent her heart racing into overdrive. "I think you're being ridiculously generous with three." Freya couldn't imagine forgiving someone after the first time she caught them cheating, let alone knowing it was a regular occurrence at this point. "I could give you the number for my lawyer," Freya bit the inside of her cheek, debating on whether or not to just stop there or keep going with her thoughts. "Or, we could go back to my place, and I can help you forget about him?" The offer was bold and the most forward the brunette had ever been. The words surprised even Freya as they fell from her drunken lips.
"I mean, barely," she breathed out, feeling the tension between them begin to dissipate. Maybe she should've kept that to herself, but she also didn't want to lie to the woman. "Did you miss the part where I told you I caught him with his secretary?" Biting down on her lower lip, Kobie tried to figure a way to salvage their conversation. It was a nice feeling to have the other flirt and make her attraction to her known. And she wanted to go home with her, but that option was definitely gone. She scooted closer despite the way the conversation hung in the air. "Four is too much, don't you think? You get three chances and then it's over. I just have to find a good lawyer... you don't happen to know any, do you?"

Kaia knew that she wasn't owed an explanation. That it wasn't fair to put this on the other out of nowhere. It was clear that Letty had been taken off guard, yet the panic that came from her panicked Kaia. Her feelings towards the other were no secret; hiding how she felt had never been a skill Kaia managed to perfect. But with just three words that had been spoken so casually, Kaia had managed to take their relationship to the next level. "How?" Kaia questioned with a slight tilt of her head, "How is it complicated?" While her words seemed demanding, Kaia just wanted to talk; she needed to know if this relationship had a future.
shit. wasn't this how arguments started? one side declaring their intention while the other side prepared for defense. still, the firefighter was used to the unknown, her job preparing her well for the unexpected. the alcohol thrumming in her veins helped too.
"what?" it took a moment, but the raven haired woman blew out a quiet breath and shook her head slowly. "i'm sorry about that." nothing scared her and yet, when those three words rolled off the other's tongue, letty had felt the panic settle into her bones. "look, if i'm being honest... i don't know." part of it was the element of surprise, another was the realization of how serious things had gotten. "it's complicated." her feelings weren't, but her job and the dangers that lurked around every corner?

Despite her words, Andrea secretly loved the bond that her best friend and cat had. Even though he was a sociable feline, Mewton definitely had a preference for the other woman. On the way towards the small kitchen, Andrea kicked off her heels, discarding them to the side, thankful for the cool wooden floor against her bare feet. While Andrea couldn't deny that she felt sexier in heels, she couldn't say the same by the end of the night when the pads of her feet felt like they were on fire. "Oh, is that what it is?" Andrea cursed at the not-safe-for-work imagery that suddenly flashed through her mind. "And how does that line usually work for you?" The brunette swallowed hard, suddenly feeling a little flustered as she tried to control her thoughts. Flicking on the light of the kitchen, she could hear June following behind. Andrea had just opened the fridge door when she felt June close behind her, the other woman's chin resting on her shoulder. But it had been the way her fingertips pressed into Andrea's side that caused a hitch in her breathing. Before Andrea could react, the soft touch turned into a tickling attack, causing an involuntary laugh to escape. "Stop!" Andrea begged as her body contorted away from June's grip. "You know I get violent when tickled." She grabbed a bottle of wine from the fridge as she turned to face June, "Drink this and go play with my pussy..cat." A smirk formed on her red lips due to her carefully chosen words.
June loved Andrea's place. It wasn't an understatement, either. Her own apartment was cute and cozy with a great view of the city, but Andrea's? Between the art and the mismatched furniture that somehow seemed to just fit — it somehow had grown to feel more like home than her own. Part of it, too, had to do with the cat that immediately greeted her when she entered the door, barely shedding her coat and tossing it aside before she was reaching down and letting fingers tangle with silky fur. She grinned up at the other woman as she gathered every pound that was Sir Isaac Mewton into her arms. "Don't be jealous," June called as Andrea moved down the hallway and she hefted the cat onto her chest to follow along. "I just clearly give better pets than you. It's all in the fingers." A magic touch, if you will. A snort of laughter left her lips and she unceremoniously let Sir Isaac leap from her arms onto the kitchen counter before closing the distance between them and propping her chin on the other's shoulder, pouting as she claimed, "C'mon, Andy, you can't really blame him, can you?" And then, in a champagne-infused decision, she pressed her fingertips to Andrea's side, tickling her as though that would prove her point.

The voice caught Emilia off guard, causing her to stop, a tight grip on her jeans. This was exactly what Emilia had been desperate to avoid. In a perfect world, she would have found her clothes easily and slipped out of the front door before Ginny woke up. Emilia ignored the teasing as she kept her back towards the blonde, desperately pulling her jeans on. She swallowed hard, her heart racing as tension began to grow like mould surrounding them. Ginny kept on talking, but Emilia solely focused on trying to find her shirt, retracing their steps from the night before with little results. It definitely wasn't in the bedroom, meaning it must be elsewhere in the apartment.
The way Ginny's voice changed, the soft sound of the frame being moved. She realised. Her comment brought out a humourless laugh from Emilia as she finally acknowledged Ginny for the first time that morning. The brunette gave up on getting dressed, facing Ginny in just her jeans and bra as she shook her head with a scoff.
"Really? Because it sure as hell looks exactly like what I'm thinking." Her arm flew up, gesturing to the nightstand as if Ginny even needed the visual hint. "You know, over the years I've gotten to the point where people just don't surprise me anymore." When you work in journalism, it was those skeletons in the closet, the secrets that nobody wanted the world to know, that shielded you from surprise. "But you," Emilia tried her best to stay assertive, despite the momentary quiver of her bottom lip.
"I have to go." Emilia needed to remove herself from the situation. The stress was making her headache worse, and the dehydration made each swallow feel like a thousand tiny pricks against her throat. "I better leave before your wife comes back." The comment came out as a dig against the blonde while Emilia turned to head out of the bedroom.
She'd been a light sleeper ever since her daughter was born. At first, it was the middle-of-the-night feedings and the crying, then it was the tiny feet pattering into their bed while the moon shined through the window because of a bad dream, and eventually it became the surprise early morning belly flops onto the bed and loud giggles right as the sun peaked over the horizon. Despite the amount of alcohol consumed the night before and the exhaustion Ginny felt by the time she and Emilia finally closed their eyes, the movement of the bed dipping and then bouncing back up was enough to jostle her awake, a soft smile daring to grace her lips before they finally adjusted to the light of the morning and caught a glimpse of the other woman scrambling for her clothes.
Sleepovers weren't exactly her thing either, but she'd felt like they ended the night on the same page, fully aware of what collapsing beneath the cover and closing their eyes meant. If Emilia had been hellbent enough on not sleeping over to be frantically collecting clothes now — Ginny couldn't help but feel the confusion grow, twisting her brow tightly as she propped herself onto her elbows and hesitantly teased, "Man, I didn't think last night was that bad." But when her joke wasn't met with a laugh, she continued, her tone growing worried. "Okay, really, what's... going on? Did I...?" But her question fell short as the frame of the picture on her bedside table caught the sun and the air in her lungs ceased to exist. "Shit." The photo. The rings. Permanent fixtures of her bedside table since she moved in, but always something she managed to put away before bringing someone home, a tiny piece of respect to a life she no longer lived. And yet, she'd completely forgotten the night before.
She sat up, sheet wrapping around her body as she carelessly slung her legs over the side of the bed and turned the frame face-down on the table. A lump caught in her throat and her attention turned to Emilia. "It's... not what you think."

"Work was work," was Kayce's usual response when the night had been uneventful. His job was unpredictable, and not even Kayce could guess how the night would play out. He could have an incredibly active ghost, giving him all the evidence that he needed. Or he gets nothing, causing the long hours to drag, begging for the first hint of the morning sun. Kayce eased up on his grip as Evelyn shifted to face him, causing a loving smile to appear. "I missed you," Kayce confessed in a whisper, allowing his lips to linger against her for a moment, even after the kiss was over. "How's the little madam?" Kayce questioned as he noticed the lack of baby talk and the loud bangs of a plastic spoon against a bowl. "Is she still asleep?" Even though it was still really early, it was rare that the two had a morning with their daughter still asleep. His arms gave her waist a squeeze, a smirk forming on his lips.
Whenever their schedules weren't synced up - Evelyn knew that there would be few moments in between that they'd be able to spend time together - as Kayce was walking in the door, she was often walking out of it, so she was thankful that the hospital had scheduled her to start a little later today. At least it meant they'd have a couple hours together before she had to rush off to work, and he'd be heading to sleep. The brunette knew that her husband would be home any moment so she set about at least making some coffee for the pair of them. Feeling arms move around her waist, she settled into the embrace, her body completely relaxing as she closed her eyes for a moment. "Morning." She breathed out, her hands settling on his. "How was work?" Pulling away slightly so that she could turn in his arms, Evelyns' arms went around his neck as she reached up to give him a kiss. "Missed you." Even of she was asleep for most of the time he was away at work - Evelyn always slept better when Kayce was by her side.

"I thought I told you it's not safe for you to come here alone." While the other was more than protected back of house, on the main floor of the nightclub it wasn't something Claudia could guarantee.

CLOSED STARTER FOR : @lostwcnderlands / liked starter call
WHO : lia chen . ciswoman . she/her . forty one . lesbian . hotel manager
WHERE : lia's garage
SYNOPSIS : based on THIS WANTED PLOT. bury a friend.
"No, no, no," Lia protested in a sudden rage of panic. Not because she had just been caught shoving the lifeless body into the trunk of her car, or at the odd splatters of blood on her shirt. But, because the other really thought they would be next? As if Lia really had it in her to kill the one person she truly cared about. "This," Lia gestured towards the now closed trunk with little regard of how serious this one. "Everything, I did it for you.

don't you just love it when an old friend who ghosted you ages ago for no reason (while still being active everywhere else and you were admins of a group together) asks the tags for help and when you decide to politely dm them and offer advice to help out, they just block you. i swear i don't understand people on the internet.
anyway i'm feeling a lot better and my family life isn't as hectic anymore, so i will try and get some replies done tonight. i'm so sorry for being slow with them!
#moral of the story is if you don't want to rp with someone who you consider a close friend just tell them#because they will spend the entire time wondering if they did something wrong#sorry for the rant on the dash time to get back into writing!

I firstly want to apologise because there's a chance that I might need to put myself on another hiatus. Turns out your wisdom teeth can still decide to push through further in your 30s and I'm in a lot of pain right now. It's affecting my sleep as well as my mental health and I just can't bring myself to write anything
