Will both the girls have a solo this season, or does Izabella not want to do one again? I love your kids at JPD so I hope they're staying :)

We took the year off from competing this year. We are still training in dance, acting, tumbling and they are singing in the church choir.

Why does Alanah have a solo and like eight dances, while Izabella only has three?

I just answered this question under mini dancers blog. It's a great question, so I will answer again:) Izabella had 7 or 8 numbers at DP before we left to JPD. She really didn't want to start over and learn 7 more new dances, so she decided she wanted to take a year off of competing. The teachers at JPD told her she was really great and should consider doing at least 3 numbers. She thought 3 would be good, so she decided take them up on it. Both of my girls love dance and have a passion for it. I never pressure them to do anything they don't want to do. I'm here to guide and support them, but in the end they make the final decision on what they want to do. As a parent it's difficult having 2 daughters so close in age. You never want one to overshadow the other or one to feel bad if they don't get the same attention. Being a dancer at such a young age in today's time is not easy. It's a very competitive world not just with dance competition, but also with the industry. I just do my best to make both my girls proud of who they are and always remind them never compare yourself to anyone but yourself.

Thank you for acknowledging Izabella. Mini Dancers is correct, she does not have a solo this year. She didn't want to do one. It was a hard transition to go from learning 7 numbers at DP to coming to a new studio and having to start over within a few months. Therefore, she decided to do only 3. Being this was Alanah's last year as a mini she took on more numbers. I appreciate your kind words and enjoy reading to her nice compliments like this one, because as her mom I think she is fabulous too:)

I feel like Izabella Aguilar is so underrated, alot of people recognize Alanah alot more since she went dp & even more at jpd especially since she has a duet with Jessa, but what about Izabella?, she's fabulous. I wonder if she has a solo.

Izabella does not have a solo and only competed in 3 dances at HOF this weekend, while Alanah had a solo plus 8 other dances. We see Alanah dance more than Izabella so that is probably why people talk more about Alanah. Still, I’m sure Izabella is an amazing dancer. :)
