קראתי לאחרונה את "חרשתא" של יהודית קגן. ספר פנטזיה חדש על בת שירות (!) והוא פשוט מעולה.

Heyo and shabbat Shalom/good Shabbos! I just discovered your blog and as an American Jew it’s been really comforting finding this. Like your geek poster — normal life stuff. We can still have those.

Hey! I am happy my blog gave you some comfort! I have been on this site for over 15 years. I am mostly inactive now.

Being Jewish in fandom spaces used to just be annoying because of lack of presentations or understanding. That is why i made art, memes and "dosslock".

But now, we aren't overlooked, we are unwelcome.

Suddenly spaces we once felt safe in, understood in, have turned around and said "nope, sorry, I actually think you are a white colonizer and deserve to die."

Recently I have been finding comfort in the blossoming Israeli-Jewish-Fantasy literature community. If you read Hebrew I highly recommend you look into the genre.

In general, we still have geeks here, we still have conventions and fandom spaces. They are tinted with sadness, stress, fear and mourning. But we are still geeks, still Jewish, and not going anywhere.
