so, guys… here’s where i’m at. 

activity wise, it’s pretty obvious that this blog is dead. i’m not writing, being social, or receiving a lot of interaction. (  and that’s okay !  ) 

but seeing a dash full of community and activity and just kind of… standing with my face pressed to the glass is starting to drive me crazy because of how much i crave that sort of atmosphere. 

so i might? make another blog entirely. if you’re interested in the url, just let me know! for now i’m still here, but probably not for long.

*    hands smudged with fresh ink rise to adjust his hat; a night full of delivering the children’s brigade promised excitement but yielded exhaustion and a steady decline of adrenaline.  however, the mantra of the newsboys of lower manhattan and the thesis of their message pulsed through every single newsie that night – there’s change coming once and for all ! – a proclamation bolder than any typeface they’d ever hawked. 

      at first, he doesn’t think he heard the union leader correctly – in the face of a living, breathing revolution, he has to be kidding when brushing aside the blood, sweat, and tears of nearly every newsie of new york city (  and a certain female reporter  ) with juvenile antics. he blinks in confusion.  once, twice.  quickly, though, he catches humor in the other’s words - a physical break from their delivery route must also merit a mental one, as the weight of the task at hand is certainly no laughing matter.  for a moment, though, he laughs; a chuckle that rings out in the stifling manhattan air. 

     “right – i heard that one time you and crutchie managed to take spot and his goons out singlehandedly when you were havin’ a turf dispute. crutchie was fiercer ‘n a delancey with brass knuckles.” mischevious glint shines in his eye that is rarely ever present.  “you barely had to lift a finger. or at least, that’s what race told me. .”

my opinion on;

character in general: J/ACK KELLY! IS! MY! SON! i am so in love with every portrayal of jack i have seen onstage - he is such a diverse character and is BEAUTIFUL to analyze and relate to. how they play them: guys… amanda is j/ack kelly. she has such a handle on him that i can only aspire to have on my muses; her writing really shines when she’s portraying jack and it has been such an honor to see her grow throughout our journey in the n/ewsies rpc and beyond!! :^)the mun: amanda really is one of my best friends on tumblr – we haven’t gotten to talk too much lately because life is crazy, but hopefully this summer we’ll get to write together/talk more like we used to! <333 i’ve known her for i want to say two-ish years now, and every minute i’ve known and written with her has been such a blessing to me and to my david.
