We have been working away while closed getting all the winter jobs done, we have hollow timed the greens, cored the tees and started mowing again for the new season. Some work has been going on finishing clearing between the 15th and 16th fairways while we are closed and the ground is hard. Thanks to the members who did the digging and clearing, a tidy job. Also we uncovered some old stone features including this arch in the ditch. We will have to consult locally to find out what it is. Bellewstown golf club is now closed until at least the 19th April as requested by the GUI and ILGU yesterday due to Covid-19. While it is a safe sport and members/visitors/staff all did everything we could to mitigate the risks, it is clearly more important not to take any chances. This has been a big shock to us here but is not un-expected. We have plans to maintain the course and keep going so we will be ready to re-open when we get the all clear.
