Idk why, but I’m picturing someone huge and muscular. Someone who leaves you preggy and cooking while he splits firewood, only to have you reach him how to do it right!

I hate to burst the fantasy, but my boyfriend is bookish, posh, and thinner than I am.

Imagine more the fancy gathering, black tie events where he gets to network and schmooze while I'm too big and tired to do anything but snack off the catering tables and hope the new button-up I got is big enough to not pop a button or untuck itself from my pants because I need to look nice.

He's always very openly proud of how big I am, though. I don't think I've ever embarrassed him in public.

Now even the sweaters are starting to ride up… and I bought them two sizes too big!!

What sort of things have gotten harder to do as you've grown? There's the obvious "bending forward" and "putting on shoes" options, but what's something that got way more difficult that you weren't expecting?

Standing at a counter is certainly one! Cooking has gotten a lot tougher when my belly is pushing me so far away. I feel like I have to either stretch my arms out or bend over as much as I can just to reach.

Same with sitting and trying to eat! Its hard to lean forward when your belly is pushing against the table and your legs keep your belly from moving.

And then when I DO try to lean forward, it makes my back hurt. I'd much rather be lounging and reclined. But then I'd just get stuck...

Dinner can be curly fries and chocolate chip cookies... because I said so.

How bad have your cravings gotten? Any restaurants around you recognize you just from your order?

I don't go out enough to warrant being recognized, I just make a double batch of cookies myself that I polish off over the course of a week. Cooking is a dangerous skill to have right now. This week its chocolate chip, before then it was snickerdoodles. Next week will be oatmeal.

How much weight have you gained during your pregnancy, and how much of that do you think is centered in that lovely belly of yours?

I've definitely gained in the multiple tens of pounds. A lot of it is belly, but I've gotten a lot softer all around. My thighs have to be soft enough to cradle my belly, after all :)

How much of that belly is baby and how much is food from Christmas?

I'd say 80% baby and 20% food. There's been an endless supply of snacks and I just cannot stop.

Big belly good... But also little, round, almost-hideable-but-not-quite bellies also cute. Especially when someone can juuuust manage to pass it off as chub, the shape. Great for denial situations but also sometimes its just cute when they carry compact...
