Final

Her children were all coping with the divorce in their own way. Chloe chose to work and shutting out everyone, except for Piper.

CJ was avoiding that the whole situation was even happening.

Laina qas completely moved on from it all and was living full time with Luke and Kailee and visiting on the weekends and after school and wasn't talking to anyone but her sisters and Max.

Chloe and Laina were in a constant fight, and Blake wasn't as happy as she used to be, she felt the shift in the emptiness at home.

Lacey has not spoken to Ben unless one of the kids were already on the phone when she walked into the room or if Blake pressed his face while playing with her phone. She didn't have any interest in keeping the friendship with her former best friend.

She was too busy trying to fall fall back into old patterns when the former high school fling by keeping it a secret from everyone instead of blabbing her happiness to the world on social media so early on in their relationship.

Two

Nineteen year old Chloe was working the counter at her place of employment when she noticed her teacher crush walk in with the date he won from the town pageant fundraiser at her sisters jr middle school. She rolled her eyes into the forced smile she didn't get paid enough to greet customers with when she handed the couple their orders watching her crush walking away before going into the back room to call her mother who was believed to be at an event planning expo.

Lacey rolled over Landon kissing him passionately and smiled at him as she answered the phone. "Hey Chloe, is everyone alright?" She asked in a concerned tone of voice. "Yeah everyone is fine. Henry is sick and Cj doesn't want Blake to be and they're asking me to work a double on Saturday so I was wondering when you were coming home." Chloe responded to her mom's question.

Lacey and Landon exchanged smiles and a shrugs, "I'll be home in time for you to work that double and tell CJ I hope Henry feels better." Lacey smirked back at Landon kissing down her back. "I will and I have to go back to work." Chloe nodded and put her phone back into her pocket relieved that was taken care of and went back to work.

Lacey and Landon resumed to their regular scheduled program, "so we have the rest of the afternoon before we have to drive back.." Landon told her leaving a trail of kisses up and down each body part like it was the first time all over again. "Let's go get lunch before we hit the road?" He suggested, Lacey looked up biting her lower lip when she nodded her head in agreement to getting lunch before they hit the road. "Okay fine, but it's gotta be faster food because I want to stop in and check in on Piper on the way home." Lacey popped out of bed and turned on the shower getting in to feel the hot water pounding on the back of her neck.

During the ride home, Lacey placed her hand onto his hand and nestled her face into his sweatshirt. "I had a really amazing uninterrupted getaway with you." She wrapped her arm around his while she held his hand into hers while he drove for the next two hours back to their hometown.

The day that Lacey had been waiting and working hard for the last four years had came and went, they were all back at her mother's house when she looked around at her friends and family with a smile as she held onto her sleeping four year old daughter in her arms admiring her brothers with her neice and looked between Landon and Ben. She had thought secretly to herself about how her life turned out if she had accepted Ben's offer to take her to prom instead of choosing to drive to California to see Landon at school when Chloe was conceived.

When he noticed that she was looking at someone else Landon knew that he was too late. "If you want to go out with your friends I can stay in with our daughter." He asked wanting to be nice but hoped that she would decline his offer so he could make the same move he has been longing to make for the last few months in preparation of visiting his daughter and the secret love of his life.

"I'm actually going to call it a night.. do you want to help me put her to bed?" Lacey smiled at him hoping that he would agree so she wasn't listening to the darker feelings she stored inside preparing for if he didn't.

"Sure, I'll get the door for you guys." Landon said standing when she did and followed her to Chloe's bedroom. "I love you." Lacey said giving their four year old daughter a kiss on her forehead. Landon kissed his hand and placed it onto his daughters forehead before following Lacey out of the room not taking his eyes off of her when the two of them were alone in the hallway close enough to smell her cucumber melon body spray he took that opportunity to plant his lips onto hers feeling his warm embrace linked with hers, she pushed here left away walking into the living room before turning back to face him.

"What are you doing? Why did you come here?" Lacey asked looking away. He walked closer placing his hands onto her shoulders, "we've dated on and off for years which lead to our daughter. We're family." He realized that the kiss was overstepping so he place his lips onto her forehead and smiled down at her.

"But I lied to you about that daughter of ours." Lacey said reaching for his hand when he went to turn away.

"You were sixteen and confused. Nobody can blame you for making the decisions you've made to protect your daughter." Landon shook his head in response to what she said.
