Leliana might know plenty of the rumours surrounding her master, and her own skills beyond even those of a usual courtesan. Isla might have known how to gain the upper hand, but Ruby knew how to work around those stronger than her without issue. Besides – that was what she was here for. To provide information, as well as anything else required of her.. “Is that all your worship has heard of my skills?” Asked as easy as her smile – distant, amused, promising worlds more than what was being offered already, if you only knew the right way to ask.

❝   THAT WOULD BE TELLING,  MADAM,  AS   i am sure you well know.  perhaps word circulates  --  what use is to be made of your skills remains to be seen,  however.   ❞   their cause certainly had support in high places,  but the true lifeblood of the movement is the individuals at her side helping make things happen.  isla could never spread enough influence,  the greed of power easily drawn in from nobility across thedas  --  she has something to offer,  &  they are keen to take.  in the end,  all she cares about is their goal.   ❝   i always have use for people who know what they are capable of  &  unafraid to use it.   ❞   after all,  this is a game of force.  corypheus would be unrelenting,  &  they would have to match it;  she shifts her position,  arms drawn behind her back in a formal  &  commanding posture.  chin raises as she gazes over the battlements,  eyes slitting in contemplation  /  for a moment it is almost as if she is elsewhere,  before her attention returns to the other woman with a brow raise  &  expectant expression.

❝   IT SEEMS YOU’VE BEEN ALL OVER,  MY LADY.   ❞   words are honeyed,  mouth curled in a curious smile as a glove - adorned hand comes to rest upon her hip,  the flashy garments vivienne insisted she wear reflecting glitter in the sunlight.  as inquisitor,  it was perhaps considered above her to become personally involved in matters leliana  &  josephine were more than delighted to handle  --  but she’d always had a knack for putting herself in positions that gave her an upper hand,  &  if information was to be had  ..  she would discover it.   ❝   the inquisition seems an odd choice for a courtesan.   ❞

❝   I’M FINE,  DATA.  REALLY.  DOCTOR CRUSHER   cleared me for duty,  don’t worry about me.   ❞   though the words are spoken with seeming sincerity,  the lack of a smile on his face is a challenge to it.  he was,  in fact,  not fine  --  but to admit that would be to take a leave of absence,  something the engineer is unwilling to do.  so instead he will tell half - truths,  attempt to draw attention from his condition to something else.
