Alexa: wasn't expecting much. She thought it was sweet and admired Benji for attempting this, but she wasn't sold on romance being his thing. Romantic dinner or not, she was just glad to be spending time with him in. Knocking on the door, she smiled as he pulled it open. "Hello." Alexa greeted, goofy grin present on her face at the sight of her boyfriend.

Benji: knew he had never set the bar for himself very high in his relationship with Alexa, and a part of him was nervous that he might be setting it too high now by putting so much work into one dinner, but this was something he wanted, and he wanted Alexa to see that. "Hey," he responded, his face lighting up at the sight of the girl. He leaned down to give her a soft kiss before stepping aside to let her into his apartment. "Dinner's almost ready," he informed her as he led the way into the dining room and his neatly set table, pulling out a chair for her to sit.

Benji: had spent the better part of his day preparing for Alexa to come over for dinner. They hadn't been back together for very long and he was determined to do better this time around. It was just before the time he had told Alexa to be at his apartment so he was putting the finishing touches on setting the table, complete with candles, when he heard the knock on his front door and made his way over to answer it.
