Nicolò di Genova, 1099.
I wanted to do Nicky and Joe in their historical armor so here's first Nicky. I'll have my references under the cut.
During the first crusade there was not yet military orders (for example Knights Templars), since they were created as a response to the first crusade, to uphold the newly created crusader kingdoms and protect pilgrimage to holy land. The concept of holy war was developing during the first crusade, since it hadn't really been thing in Christianity before that, so the crusaders at the time were more traditional feudal armies led by kings with fairly typical political and military aspirations. So Nicolò wouldn't have been wearing a Templar cross, but rather just the usual armor of the time, which he would have provided for himself.
Chain-mail shirts were the typical armor in the 11th century for a regular knight. You do sometimes see chain-mail trousers as well, but they seemed to have become more popular during the following century. Under chain-mail would be gambeson or some kind of padded armor, otherwise the rings would bite into the skin when taking a hit. Tear drop shaped kite shields were typical at the time. Pointed helmets were more common, but there were several examples of round helmets from Northern Italy, so I thought that would fit well for Nicolò.
Here's some of the reference images. First is a 12th century illustration from Sicily. Second is an illustration from 11th century Germany.

Here's first illustration from 12th century Northern Italy. Then an illustration from 11th century Tuscany. And lastly an extant helmet from 12th or 13th century Northern Italy.

ENG (google translate) for those who don't know, INCANTABISS are a phenomenon that is gradually developing in Japan. An Italian band that has not yet released original songs but whose demos are circulating among lovers of the psychedelic genre. For now we only know of the existence of four unreleased songs recorded in the studio with a phone, including a 35-minute jam of a song.
