I have produced a short survey that first-time users of the "Reactamin" have been asked to fill out.

I have made a friend on the Arduino forum! Mike Cook is sending me a copy of his book, Arduino Music and Audio Projects! I am honoured and excited to read it. Thank you Mike.

After a consultation with a fellow dBS student, Jacob Smith a new circuit has been designed which is technically more streamlined in that it does not include any physical resistors and instead uses the Arduino's built-in pull-up resistors. The Arduino and Max coding has also been modified.
Today I am attempting to wire it up and get it working.

I met with the very talented Mr. Jacob Smith this evening who is assisting me with some coding in Arduino and is giving me some well needed pointers about how to streamline communications between Arduino and Max/MSP.

Discovered this marvel! This should be useful in demonstrating the circuits used in my experiements.

@alto777 got back to me on the Arduino projects forum! It's now a case of diving in and making sense of his modified coding.

Possible consultation
I have reached out to Jacob Smith (ex-dBS student) today. He is reportedly a wiz at Arduino/Max.

Had a good chat with Luke today, he gave me some pointers regarding sample interpolation and crossfading in Max MSP (Zoom recorded).

I may have finally replaced the playlist object with the polybuffer object so that all of the existing physical controls (i.e. buttons) are now working. Note: The playback speed is not as affective, sounded better with the speed $1 message!

I am having to replace certain objects and messages that I would have needed with the playlist~ object because of now implementing the polybuffer~ object.

Learning about the polybuffer~ object in Max/MSP this evening as I have been informed that it could be a better alternative to using the playlist~ object.

At a hurdle, help needed!
Something must be wrong with either or both the new Arduino code and the Max patch as the ultrasonic sensor is not working properly. This needs further investigation as the console is reading regular 1’s and 0’s constantly. Interestingly, all of the existing buttons, switches at the potentiometer are working!
I have asked the Arduino Forum for help!
