i love the idea of benry being a part of the game + being selfaware about it. his form being whatever model he chooses from the game files. the shadow over his eyes being the model not rendering properly. etc..

HLVRAI headcanon for game mechanics (like AU for it being a game you can just pick up and play yourself instead of a web series):

The big bad at the end, the boss of the game, is variable based on who you interact with and how well everyone gets along. :)

If you don't interact with any of them or you don't get along with any of them (don't have enough friendship points), you're the big bad at the end. You're the final boss.
