I want to thank Matthew Hamilton for taking the time to write this review of Soundtrack to a Fleeting Masculinity. I also want to thank Kissing Dynamite for publishing it. I’m honored that a review of my book contains references to heavy metal and Thomas Merton.

The 2018-2019 Benjamin Schmitt Poetry Road Show is over. It was the great thrill of my life to share my poems in cities and towns across the PNW. An enormous thank you to everyone who bought a book, attended a reading, read/performed with me onstage, hosted an event/show, or offered support in another way. I’m not sure if or when another book will be released, so if you’d like to help a humble American poet buy diapers for his kids, you can do so by following the link on the Soundtrack to a Fleeting Masculinity page.

National Poetry Month is almost over but there’s still time to support a poetry press, either by checking out my book or one of my publisher’s other offerings.

I had an awesome time reading in the Ellensburg Inland Poetry Prowl yesterday! My brand new poem, “The Squatter”, will be hanging with some other fantastic poems and photographs at Gallery One for the next few weeks.

In February, I appeared with G.G. Silverman on the Glossophonics Radio Program, hosted by Bryan Edenfield. It was a great show! G.G. read some fiction, I read some poems, and we all discussed movie soundtracks and birds, among other topics. To listen, click the link above.
