'Just make a move,' she thought before her gaze shifted to chrissy. chrissy who was doing nothing but fidgeting with her hands. "yep, there is indeed, but it'll take you roughly 2-3 months of consistently thinking your way out of biting your nails. plus there's about 32 different bacteria and 28 different fungi that are under your nails. that's gross." she paused ever so slightly before turning the page again and acting like she was reading- "y'know, so i've heard."

his words activated a cagey part of lydia. eyes widened slightly and lips pursed as she looked at scott almost as if to challenge him. but the caginess was due to the fact he was right- she was hiding something from him- and dammit, he always seemed to know. arms crossed slowly over one another across her chest to try and close him out even more (and to admittedly look more capable than she felt). but something about scott was always so earnest and it always wore lydia down eventually. with a sigh she released her arms and they landed with a 'slap' to her sides. "i'm trying to be able to handle things on my own."

lydia was getting pretty good at this banshee thing. for the most part, at least. she wasn't at the level meredith was where the other could tell just what the hell type of... thing everyone was. no. lydia had vibes and she prided herself on that- one thing that transferred over during the great turning. so, as it were, the redhead found herself vibe checking the other as she chewed on a perfectly rouged lip.

eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she watched the other skater. he was a better skater, obviously, but no- it wasn't the artistry. there was something about him that tickled her senses. leaning against the ledge, lydia gave a bright smile and a small wave to him in an effort to catch his attention.
