Eastern Egyptian Desert ~ I wish I had my Mamiya 7 in Egypt 🇪🇬 these feel too clean and clinical. Still want to share them though because they're memories of a time and place that feels like another world. (at Desert Hurghada)

Dunkirk port ~ I was so happy to be able to shoot this place from the vantage point of the ferry sailing home last week. Always been obsessed with this sort of man made landscape. Ports are interesting places for sure. (at Dunkerque)

I've been thinking about photography and art more than ever before these last few weeks. Thinking about the future and what I want to get out of this MA and why I'm here in the first place... I'm still struggling with so many aspects of my work, Portraits for example and articulating the reasoning and objectives for my upcoming projects. Nonetheless, it feels good to be engaged this deeply and it can only help me going forward. This image was taken over that weird period in between Xmas day and NYE. I wonder if those few days has a specific name in other cultures ? They should do. This mans dog literally wouldn't stop playing in the water. He was so god dam happy. He had a funny name I can't remember. You could it hear it being shouted by the man and it gradually getting fainter as he strolled off without his dog who didn't give a toss. The light was gorgeous. I burned through a entire roll in about 5 minutes something I've not done since I bought my camera. My best friend bought me 5 rolls of Porta for Xmas which apart from a signed Ray Mears book was the most special gift I received. The way people were illuminated so beautifully made me think about @niallmcdiarmid and if he was there how he would of had a field day with portraits. I think I used to excuse of running out of film as the reason I didn't take any portraits even though it was because I bailed again 🤦🏼♂️ @magicalcrayons and I walked up the Great Orme which is visible in the background. It was windy up the top. It always is. We spotted a seal next to the pier. After studying it for several minutes we both conceded that in fact - it was a buoy bobbing in the water and that we should absolutely never ever be wildlife spotters. Every time we drag ourselves up there it always delivers. The gigantic cargo ships on the horizon. The overwhelming scope of the ocean rendering them into toy like proportions and the white forest of wind turbines that for me, give great joy to observe. Great days are when you have nothing but each other and perhaps a Jack Russel to worry about. No agenda, no need to do anything other than to walk and to laugh. They're my favorite kind of days in Wales. (at Llandudno)

One minute oatmeal and a pile of detergent 🇺🇸 - Portland Oregon 2014 We stayed in a room with a guy who had just come out of rehab. If I'm honest it was a bit unnerving. He offered us his food stamps. But then realised we needed his I.D to use them. I remember there was a old TV that had King Of the Hill on and nobody was watching it. It was so American. Again it was a little unnerving 🤡 the next day we queued to stock up our supply of VOODOO DONUTS and got the bus up to Seattle. (at Portland, Oregon)

Merced river- Yosemite valley 2014 Swam across this river which was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. This isn't no sob story but... Growing up, a lot of which was done in a single parent household. This is something I never realistically thought would be tangible a tour of the west coast of America, until my late teens anyway. This was my first time outside of Europe. It was the single greatest trip of my life. Me and @magicalcrayons laughed and laughed and smiled for three weeks solid. Old 35mm scan cropped 6/7 because.
