The NEW MEDIA or the new ways of wide spreading news and other information to other people all over the world has taken its place as one of the esteemed technologies that are slowly or might even be greatly affecting our own living and functionality. The New media may pertain to the very technology that shapes new breakthroughs that people haven't completely overcome from the late times.

This includes technology such as COMPUTERS,THE INTERNET,NEW TELEPHONES OR CELLPHONES AND TELEVISION.

This is where SOCIAL MEDIA has become popular And greatly affect people around the Globe. This allows much faster and far limiting access to high quality technological advantages for a student or a person from the world having technology is highly beneficial to every school works or any other related works. This makes our lives easier.

Social media helps each and every member of society to keep connected with each other and make new friends from any corner of the world. People also use different networking sites to get the daily news updates and current social media in place for all activities such as- people use it for communication, promote business, advertising, product campaign, getting news updates, share an opinion, blogging, music sharing, etc. Social media has so many positive sides that change people’s lives positively. It has so many drawbacks and most individuals do not know the problem that is caused by social media. Social media is responsible for cybercrime, cyberbullying, decrease academic performance, negative performance in the workplace, and creates problems in personal relationships. People should aware of the advantages and disadvantages of social media and try to use it more safely to minimize the risks of hacking, cybercrime.

As for me the biggest challenge offered by the new media are;

—resources yet undetermined legitimacy.

—fast access yet filles of unnecessary information

For a student,the biggest challenge offered by the new media is that information comes in bits and pieces that we are left wondering if it is true or not. thus after we research or use the computer we also refer to books that were offered by the school to determine the value. other than that it is also a challenge for the students to actually cope with the limit the internet can provide. although there are thousands and millions of data presented there are only so little our minds can comprehend.

And of course Privacy and security The most important challenging aspects of using social media is privacy and security issues. Users of social media are now very much worried about the privacy issue of social media. It is very difficult to maintain privacy in social media as social media is public platforms where anyone can easily obtain the personal information of others (Kaplan and Haenlein, 2010).

The best OPPORTUNITY offered by the new media From the business point of media, there is also a new term involved with social media that social media marketing and it is playing a great role in the advertising of products and services, connecting with customers very easily and reaching the core customer with the specific product and services. From an individual point of view, people use social media for sharing their personal memories, and information. Moreover, this social media is also used for content writing, video uploading, and image uploading online.

For a student,being able to watch the news from the television, communicate with a friend or loved ones through social media platforms,or to search for information on the internet is already considered as an opportunity. it is already shaping people to be dependent on technology that we can't almost live without it.
