17TH WEEK

This week was to have a consultation to Sir Carl, but then again for some personal reasons i couldn't go. But I really tried my best doing my part in our group. At least I didn't fail them.

16TH WEEK

This time was online quiz, but unfortunately I couldn't take the final quiz because of some financial reason, I was having a hard time to borrow some money to buy load so that I can take the quiz, but sadly no one responded to me. So, I message Sir Carl about it but unfotunately, he didn't respond too. It's sad but still continue

15TH WEEK

This week, our instructor introduced the topic of Data Visualization, which is essential for our project as it allows data to be presented clearly, making it easier to identify patterns, trends, and outcomes. Following the discussion, we were assigned activities to apply our newly gained knowledge. After completing the tasks, the session concluded

14TH WEEK

At first, we we're very excited to have class but then suddenly some of our nurses came then randomly picked some students to participate in drug test and fortunately I was one of them who they choose to. I willingly participate in every thing about what they want me to do, unfortunately I was hahing a hard time filling the cup for my urine so I coudn't go back to class asap.

13TH WEEK

After the quiz, our instructor tackled the topic of Software Quality Management, which plays a vital role not only in our ongoing projects but also in our future professions. It emphasizes the importance of producing software that meets quality standards, is dependable, and fulfills user needs—making it a key part of the software development process. After the discussion, we were dismissed and went home.

12TH WEEK

This week, we didn’t have our regular face-to-face class and instead took an online quiz. It was the first part of our assessment, with 48 questions to be completed within 45 minutes. The change to an online format was because of the Lenten holiday, a significant event for Catholics. I was relieved and happy to have passed the quiz, and spending that day with my grandmother made the experience even more comforting.

11TH WEEK

This week, our instructor gave us learning materials and video discussions. It also signaled the start of our final requirements for the second semester in our SDE subject. We were given both individual and group tasks, which had to be submitted in soft copy and handwritten form. I found the individual activities doable, as I was able to use what I learned from the provided videos and materials. The group work also went well, thanks to our effective collaboration and teamwork.

WEEK 10

March 28, 2025, this was the day that we need to present our PIT, unfortunately, sir Carl was not satisfied with the Figma project we presented, but since he was kind, he allow us to present it next week. At least, he gave us time to redo our project.

WEEK 9

March 20, 2025: The day of the midterm! We had three hours to finish it, from 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM, and it covered our lecture. Multiple-choice, identification, and analysis were the three sections of the test. I was 50% anxious before I started, but I was 50% confident because I had studied the previous evening. I wasn't entirely certain of all my responses, though. Given that I got stuck on the identification portion, it's possible that my study method wasn't as successful as I had assumed. We completed the exam in roughly 1.5 hours instead of the whole 3 hours, which made it a terrific experience.

WEEK 8

We had to go to the Figma UI/UX InfoTorial, which took place at Cafet Hall on March 8, 2025. Unfortunately, I had a fever, so I was unable to go. Since the session was crucial to my Software Design and Engineering course, I was disappointed to miss it. I questioned my classmates about it and collaborated with one of them on a Figma design the following school day. The workshop URL was shared in our group chat by our instructor, but only attendees were able to share their work.

WEEK 7

Our second quiz for our SDE course, which covered Topics 3 and 4 for the midterm, was held on March 5, 2025. The test consisted of two sections: a multiple-choice section and a diagram-making section. Because I had studied in advance, I felt secure, but I still needed to pass Part 1 by three points. I'm thankful, though, because I gave it my all. Since it was my own effort, I felt confident in my response for Part 2, and I hope it passes. Our instructor concluded by informing us that although there would not be a lab exam, we still needed to do all of the assignments, particularly the project. Sir, thank you very much!

WEEK 6

Sir Carl, our teacher, began the lesson that day with a game to get us all fired up and in a good mood. Even if my response was incorrect, it was still humorous, so I enjoyed it! I appreciate that, sir. We attended a lecture on Topic 4: User Interface Design & Project Management following the game. Later, as part of a group exercise, we examined an image and offered suggestions for how to make it better. We spoke about how to improve it by adding or changing things. It was an enjoyable exercise that broadened our perspective on software development.

WEEK 5

In order to help us unwind and feel better, our lecturer began the session on February 26, 2025, with a game. Despite the fact that my response was incorrect, I still found it amusing. I appreciate that, sir. We attended a talk following the game. In a subsequent group exercise, we were required to examine an image and determine ways to enhance its design. To improve it, we offered suggestions for additions and modifications. It was an enjoyable exercise that broadened our perspective on software development.

WEEK 4

Our first midterm exam, which covered Topics 1 and 2, was given on February 12, 2024. The test consisted of two sections: identification or analysis in Part 2 and multiple-choice in Part 1. I barely studied a bit, so I felt awkward answering the quiz, but it's okay because I still received a score. Following the quiz, we had to do a group project in 30 minutes and turn it in before the allotted time ran out. My crew also gave our second project proposal presentation that day. Fortunately, our proposal was approved by our instructor, even though I was not present for the presentation.

WEEK 3

Our lecturer had to attend an event on February 4, 2025, therefore he was unable to meet with us. But he has already posted the resources and exercises for Topic No. 2. Since our project hadn't been proposed yet, my group and I still needed our instructor's approval for the remaining chores we had to finish on time and turn in before the deadline. WEEK 2

On January 22, 2025, we had our second week of class, and it was my first day attending a face-to-face session. Since some of us missed the first week, we started by introducing ourselves.

After that, we had a lecture about the role of a Software Analyst. We learned how collecting and analyzing data can help businesses make better decisions, which is useful for future jobs. We also discussed Software Design and Engineering and its purpose.

At the end of the class, we were given 30 minutes to create a PowerPoint about a business problem and how to solve it. We managed to complete it on time. (See the picture below)
