“What has struck you most in the presentation on Filipino Religiosity in class? Which points do you agree with most? Why?”

Based in the presentation on Filipino Religiosity, I agree with all of the points. Why? Because, the points are passing through every generation. My experiences while I’m growing up, by these points the one who taught me was My Mother and Teachers who taught us about these stuffs. When I was in elementary, I studied in a School full of nuns there’s one subject that we would go to Church to identify the belongings also what would we do. Before our holy communion, our nun sister said that we should know and remember all the things that they taught us so we can use once we grow old. Living as a Filipino, I will say that I’m proud to be one.

Why Study Theology?

Christianity has been a major force in the development of western civilization, helping to shape the world in which we live today.

Many students undertake theological study to enquire further into their own faith. They find that the study of Theology can enrich their understanding of the Gospel and open new horizons, even as it follows ancient paths.

You do not need to have a faith of your own to find the issues raised by Theology compelling. Students of all or no religious persuasions are welcome. All you need to study Theology is a sense of curiosity about the world and human experience.

We provide an ideal grounding on the way to active ministry in a Christian setting, but Theology is about more than just vocational training. It is about life, meaning, belief and identity at the deepest level.

Summarization: The importance of theology is that, Theology is the sense of curiousity about our wold and as humans. It’s about life, belief and identity. Theology is part of being a relationship with God and it’s something we do everyday like rituals we take part in and our everyday prayer. Lastly, Theology surrounds our whole experience of faith.
