JAMES FIGURES OUT THAT LILY HAS A CRUSH ON HIM AND HE DECIDES TO TURN THE TABLES ON HER SO SHE HAS TO ASK HIM OUT

James hears it from Elliot Ross, who heard it from JackDamson who saw the note Melina Clarke had gotten from Janice Hall, who hadheard it from Gina Monroe. Gina Monroe had got it from April Henagar who hadactually heard Professor States telling Professor McGonagall because BrellaMarch had been telling Richard Thomas in the middle of the career counsellingsession. Richard Thomas got it from eavesdropping on local nutcase DanielleMartin, when she was whispering it to herself over what she had heard Lily tellMarlene that very morning while in the bathroom.

It’s all over the school by lunch, and has cause threefistfights over accuracy of information, the breakup of a relationship fromreading a ‘private’ discarded note ( FUCK YOU JAKE WE’RE OVER) and another psych evaluation of Danielle Martin, because that’sthe third time this month and this is ridiculous I mean come on what the actualfuck Danielle.  

James hears it, nods coolly, and excuses himself to go tothe bathroom and then scREAMS OH MY GOD I FUCKING K N E W IT WHERE IS THEMIRROR SIRIUS I KNEW IT

 All the boys met in the bathroom, fully aware of thesituation and skipping from glee. They divise a plan, Lily would have heard. How long,until she cracks and asks out the queen of her affections?

‘ok james you can’t call yourself th-‘‘SHUT UP PETE 

The answer? Four hours.  Lily finds out from second year Ellie Bays, who comes up toher giggling and asks if she has kissed James yet

 Marlene, being badass bitch no.1 slaps Lily and then kicksher in the shin for good measure. Then she tells Lily the plan. Lily says no. Marlenekicks her in the shin again. Lily says yes.  

The plan: 

‘OI, POTTER’‘WHAT EVANS’‘I WANNA MAKE OUT WITH YOUR FACE’‘IT IS MUTUAL’‘THANK FUCK FOR THAT’

 (The school has to have an emergency assembly about appropriatebehaviour in the halls, because Lily Evans and James Potter snogging in thecharms corridor had apparently ‘crossed a line’. Also, so had the ‘EVANS ANDPOTTER ARE DOING IT’ badges that Sirius Black and Remus Lupin had been found handingout to first years, which was deemed ;’wildly irresponsible’ and ‘the worst thingever done by anybody you two are idIOTS’)
