Spirit Gear Kanata - Purifier of the Light’s Sins-

Wanted to make a spirit gear for Kanata since he never got one 😊✨. I was thinking Aska as well as Kanata being in his Awakened Blood Sin form. I do think he would be wearing golden greaves since I didnt draw out his legs lol 😅

Tales of Festival 2024 is coming up and they have released some comics strips to celebrate. One of them had August from Luminaria on it and I was like “Woah! It’s August!” It was adorable, so I had to draw him giving some apples to the Kanonnos in preparation for the event 😊✨

I always found Spirit Gears super cool from Tales of the Rays. Using the power of summon spirit to enhance oneself? Amazing. I made a design for Mika awhile back, but here’s one for Beryl 😊. I went with Gnome for her Spirit Gear and made a reference sheet too.

A few days ago, Mutsumi Inomata, one of the leading artists for the Tales Series, passed away. It was saddening for a lot of us… I wanted to draw a Tales of Breaker piece since she was the artist responsible for this Tales game.

Thank you Inomata-Sensei for everything and all the art you have brought for us. Rest in peace.

Welcome to UnsungTales Week!

Hey everyone! Had some issues but hopefully this post works today! Welcome back to another year of UnsungTales! An Unofficial Tales of Fan-Event to celebrate the obscure, the unknown, and the forgotten parts of the Tales of Series! Come celebrate with us on May 15th to May 22nd, 2024.

What is UnsungTales? Here are some pointers below!

The Tales of Series has alot of characters and games that tend to be overshadowed or underappreciated by the mainline games or mainline cast. This event is to celebrate the ones that don't get the spotlight.

Celebrate however you like! With art, fan-fiction, information & facts, videos, etc. Whatever you like!

This event is to celebrate the ones that are lesser known in the Tales series. NPCs, Side characters, Tales cast from games that aren’t mainline titles, and niche characters from other tales media are the main focus here!

Hopefully this year will be as amazing! I hope you all will join and celebrate with us!

Tales of Commons is the third Tales of Mobile game to be released on DoCoMo phones in Japan. Even though I haven’t tried it myself, researching about Commons made me fell in love with this game 😊✨. I hope one day we all get to experience this game as well as the others.

Did you know that the Tales of Legendia cast gets their names from authors & characters in novels? Chloe Valens in particular gets her name from the character “Chloe” in the book “L’Écume des jours” (translated Froth on the Daydream) or “Mood Indigo” by Boris Vian.

I finished the book recently & watched the movie too awhile back. I enjoyed what I read & I really liked the film as well. As a romantic tragedy in guise of a fantastical comedy, there will be scenes that would be confusing to some, but I found them to be pretty understandable.

There are some similarities to Chloe and Chloe Valens in a way, but nothing very concrete in nature 😅. I wonder how far did the developers go in picking the names in particular?

Btw, the name “Chloe” from the book comes from the jazz arrangement by Duke Ellington titled “Chloe”. The author was very fond of jazz composers and musicians.

Took a bit to draw out some of them lol. Wasn’t sure what to do with the bg, so I decided to animate it. Btw the two on the top right are from Tales of Commons. Its kinda my depiction of them 😊

This is the first time I ever drew her in her idol outfit 😊. This one is particularly from Tales of Asteria since the outfit in Hearts R is somewhat different.

I also did a timelapse of my process. Usually my sketches are really rough and starts with the structure of the pose before anything else. I think it turned out well in the end 😊✨
