zosan is so annoying to meeee like he brings out a side of you no one else can. your very souls are drawn to each other with the intent of pissing each other off. you hate him but you're inexplicably drawn together. you're always pushing to stand on the same level, to keep up, to leave each other behind, to never be left behind. he makes you want to be better. not for him, never for him. you want to be better than him. you understand each other like no one else could, so much so that you don't have to say it - and you never would, anyways. because you hate him. you hate him. he's one of your closest friends. you hate him. you'd find him in any lifetime and you'd bicker like an old married couple: one that knows that no matter how ugly and irritating it gets, nothing will ever be worse than not having him at your side.

Sometimes when shit is going down I feel like Senshi fully expected to be in a legitimate cooking anime and somehow got isekaied into a weird dark fantasy/comedy/dungeon crawler world and is trying his best to keep the vibe he was looking for going.

Luffy not telling anyone about himself/his past is so fucking funny to me. He will literally tell anyone about Shanks and his beloved straw hat, but only be like "oh yeah, I have a brother" if said brother is physcially standing in front of him

now that Dungeon Meshi has an official English translation, i hope someday Kui’s other work will get translated too. this anthology was really good, and this story was one of my favorites

Whenever I buy something heavy from the farm supply store, the cashier carries it all the way to my car, which is very nice of him and I don't mind since he's a strapping young man, but sometimes he's busy with other customers and the co-owner of the store will come out to carry the thing for me. And she's an incredibly petite fifty-something woman so it just feels wrong. I'm a short person but I'm significantly taller than her and also younger, and every time I'll desperately trot behind her insisting that she let me carry, say, the 20kg bag of chicken feed I just bought and she adamantly refuses and just goes "no problem"

I'm in awe of her. I once bought a pile of 2-metre solid chestnut fence posts that are so heavy and cumbersome I can only carry 2 or 3 at a time and she just scooped up the whole lot, threw it over her shoulder and strode away. I was fully expecting her to fall backwards on account of the laws of physics but no...?? And the tall quince tree I bought last year was no problem either

This week I saw a flyer in town advertising a cattle fair to be held in the field behind the farm store and I am reasonably certain of what would happen if I went and bought one of these animals
