A few concepts of racism
Racism:
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Interpersonal Racism:
This is the bias that occurs when individuals interact with others and their personal racial beliefs affect their public interactions. This comic is a perfect example of the definition.
Internalized Racism: This type of racism comprises our private beliefs and biases about race and racism, influenced by our culture. This can take many different forms like: prejudice towards others of a different race. it also can be described as internalized oppression which is the negative beliefs about oneself by people of color; or internalized privilege—beliefs about superiority or entitlement by white people (white privilege)

this video gives a good example of white privilege
Systematic Racism: is racial bias among institutions and across society
Systemic Racism Explained - YouTubewww.youtube.com › watch
In this video it gives a some examples of cumulative and compounding effects of an array of societal factors, including the history, culture, ideology and interactions of institutions and policies that systematically privilege white people and disadvantage people of color.
Insitutional Racism: occurs within institutions and systems of power.
This comic refers to one of the unfair policies and discriminatory practices of particular institutions such as police brutality (and aslo include schools, workplaces, etc.) that routinely produce racially inequitable outcomes for people of color and advantages for white people. Individuals within institutions take on the power of the institution when they reinforce racial inequities.

1. This is Cal Anderson park, located in the heart of Capitol Hill, which is basically a smaller city in Seattle. I decided to draw a map of this park and the surrounding area because I work close and there was a protest happening after I got off and I went out to meet up with some friends who were protesting and sit at the park and relax, what I found from being in this environment is that it’s very diverse, there is multiple people with different backgrounds protesting and hanging out together
2. I haven’t noticed the amount of street art and how many vendors are selling thier stuff near the park. And I also haven’t noticed the insane amounts of bars and syrup clubs just down the block from the park
3. The only absent thing I’ve noticed at the park it’s basically just a higher hangout spot so there isn’t like an actual playground there and no public restrooms and no nearby banks or really expensive stores
4. This is where majority of our marches and protest for BLM and the fight against police brutality have happened over the course of the past few months so it’s kind of the landmark for that and Seattle also has one of the biggest pride parades in the country and it always happens in Capitol and it goes all the way down to the pier but due to COVID a lot of the parade and festivals that Seattle is known for were cancelled because of the pandemic.

The Culture of Consumerism
what I've learned about myself after doing this assignment is that I had a lot of things taken cared of for me, so a lot of the things I do have in my room and family member has bought it for me, but I also realized that if I want something that's a bit pricey I know I'm going to have to put in the effort to pay and get it myself and that what I'm slowly learning now that I am becoming an adult and paying for everything on my own, I see what now has to become my needs versus my wants.

3. Cooking is very important in my family and it’s was has really help us together and has kept us close since all live in different parts of the country. So on if that it has been in my family for decades and will continue to be is an impactful feeling
4. When I asked my grandmother she never knew exaclty who made the pot but I looked at the name on the pot and it says Le Cruest and it was part of a kitchen set that came from that company which orginal location is in France and has been open since 1925
