This photogram is the coolest I’ve managed to capture so far! I don’t know why, but no other feather I’ve tried has come through as slightly translucent like this.

A tentative finish on my rusty-patched bumblebee piece! There are some areas I’m not completely satisfied with, but with watercolor sometimes you just have to put up with it and move on.

I fudged up the symmetry a bit (always do, even with guidelines) but I am really proud of those flowers, considering how much worry I had about them turning out.

I will need to return with fresh eyes to do some fixes before scanning it proper. In the meantime, I can work on the 6 other pieces I have lined up *feeble sobbing*

Tiger is finished! 😁🐯

I've really enjoyed working on this piece. It's taken a while, but I'm really glad I finished it!

I'm really happy with how it turned out in the end, but I'll have to look into better techniques for creating whiskers I think.

White tigers and snow leopards at the zoo today!

The zoo was a really lovely place with lots of space for the animals as well as having trees and bamboo to give shade and hiding places.

As you can see I'm not the best at boats, but I really love how the colours came out in this.
