Waldemar has been with us for almost two weeks now! She's much feistier, much more interactive, and the damages to her fins are patching themselves up nicely.

I think she has more red in her base than she's currently showing - she also has some fin regrowth happening (I think) and some growing to do.

Wasn't going to get another fish before having completed redoing the tank, but here we are 🙄

Djarin’s progress from when I got him for free in February to March and today (June)

From being the ugliest fish I’d ever seen to... something halfway respectable, I’d say!

I genuinely don’t know how he’s still alive, last week I could’ve sworn he was done for and now he’s livelier than he’s been in a year.

Had him for two and a half years now and counting, and he’s looked ancient and half dead for most of those, but gods. What a fish.

On the bright side, he’s livelier today than he’s been all week

Nearing the end of this round of treatment and he’s not dead and hasn’t looked worse in the last few days. So 🤷

Djarin has dropsy.

I started eyeing him for what looked like it could be bloat on Friday night, didn’t get any better and started treating him after moving his tank on Sunday.

He’s active, but not progressing and I have a bad feeling about this.

When I named this guy, I didn’t expect him to actually become an eldritch horror creature, but here we are I guess.

Eld Fen is now at least 3 years old, it’s almost a year since he had dropsy, and I genuinely don’t understand how he survives.
