God loves you. God supports you. Jesus would lovingly break bread with you. Jesus would defend you against those who persecute you.

They followed the law for their own benefit, not as a means to worship God. Love God, because He loves you, and His most precious desire is to be with you on the other side.

Prayer request: That these powerful countries find sense and humanity to not lead millions into a war majority of us don’t want. The people just want human rights and community. Lord, we cry out for peace without more destruction. Hear us cry for mercy.

Do I believe in the authority of the Catholic Church? No, not really

Do I genuinely believe that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and not Just Some Guy? Also not really

Do I personally, morally, intellectually agree with everything in the Catechism? Definitely not

Did I literally take this Christian Denomination alignment test and found that my views aligned with less then 10% of Roman Catholicism? Yeah

Does the idea of no longer calling myself Catholic, no longer making the sign of the cross, no longer praying the rosary, no longer praying during the Liturgy of the hours, and no longer consuming the blood and body of Jesus Christ make me wanna cry until I throw up? Definitely yes

Being gay & Christian/reconnecting with your faith is a wild trip. Like on one hand, logically, I know that my God is a God of love and forgiveness. He loves me no matter what. But every once in a while, I have a bit of an emotional panic. No matter how much my head says that God is a God of Love, every once in a while, my heart worries that what I think is sinful or wrong or I worry about my future kids, particularly if they'll be hurt by not having a father. Then, eventually when I am on the edge of crying, I pray about it. I open up my heart and I pray about it. I ask God, how can I deal with this? What do I do? And when I truly open up my heart, surrounded by other believers or just by myself, I feel as I've put that worry on the cross. I feel unburdened. Like someone let me know - it's alright, I've got you. I just feel it disappear and I feel like I need to continue on this journey - reading, thinking, learning, loving. Then I fall again, either into worry or laziness as humans oft do. And it repeats itself. It's amazing how many times God will catch you when you stumble. At least, if you let him.

You know what's a little funny? Having to read straight Christian things because of Queer Christian feelings. Like for a while now, I've felt like God is telling me about my future wife (I am a lesbian) and I can't find any ANY resources about that as a woman looking/waiting for my wife... But there are plenty of resources from like conservative purity culture Christians that are like "Hey if you're a Guy and God is telling you about your future wife, here's some advice" and "Hey if you're a Woman and God is telling you about your future husband, here's some advice." So I've been having to like MUSH those two types of advice together, plus progressive Christian stuff, to make my own version.
