Please read the comments! Important info there, always always do your research on the herbs you are putting on yourself or ingesting. (Some people may also react differently to different things that are ingested or applied to the skin due to allergies and other things so make sure to take that into account!!!)
10 Herbs For Basic Natural Remedies
Aloe: Soothing and highly moisturizing, a mask made from Aloe is absolutely heavenly. Mix Aloe with Honey and Seaweed to soothe, moisturize and detoxify your skin. Aloe is also known to treat wounds such as scrapes and burns but is also good for general dermatitis. When buying the gels in store, be careful to read the label to make sure there aren’t any harsh and/ or cosmetic additives in it.
Basil: A wonderful detoxifier and circulation promotor, crush a handful of leaves and brew a hot tea for a few minutes. Let cool. Once cooled, splash your face or wipe it down with a cotton pad or face cloth.
Burdock: Burdock does wonders for dry, itchy skin, especially on the scalp. Like Catnip, it aids with relieving dandruff and promotes healthy scalp skin. For best results, purchase Burdock in its oil form and massage a bit onto your scalp after you wash your hair, while your hair is still damp. The fatty acids and phytosterols will keep your scalp happy and healthy.
Chamomile: A very gentle cleanser for oily skin especially when combined with Thyme. When combined with Fennel and brewed as a tea, it aids in digestion, relieving nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and indigestion.
Lavender: Like Aloe, Lavender is very soothing and an antiseptic. Wonderful for burns, treating infections, and in general dermatitis. A mild antidepressant and sedative, Lavender is also known to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Mint: Mint gum and toothpaste? There’s a reason for that! Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, Mint is wonderful for oral health. Mint also aids in digestion, improves respiratory conditions like asthma, and aids in relieving water retention. When used as an astringent, Mint coolly freshens up the skin and aids in getting rid of acne. Also aids in relieving headaches and migraines.
Rose: A very gentle astringent when applied topically and is a wonderful anti-inflammatory and reducer of acne. Full of a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, Rose is a well rounded addition to any herbalist’s repertoire.
Rosemary: A rise made from Rosemary adds beautiful shine to hair, strengthens damaged hair and soothes dry scalps. A rich source in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, Rosemary is also known to boost the immune system and improve blood circulation. Also known to be a cognitive stimulation, Rosemary can also aid in improving memory performance and quality.
Sage (Kitchen): An astringent of Sage mixed with Witch Hazel or even Apple Cedar Vinegar cleanses the skin efficiently yet gently due to it being rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. Also aids in supporting oral health (reducing plaque), easing menopausal symptoms and aids in promoting brain health, improving mood
Turmeric: A brisk, cleansing mask, mix together turmeric powder, rice flower and plain yogurt. Let sit on the face for 15-20 mins (or until dry) and then, while rinsing off, gently scrub in circular motions. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

🛡 Warding 🛡
Disclaimer: This is all based on my research, path, opinion & experiences! Intro: I really was holding out on doing this post because it’s such a big, important topic to cover and I really don’t want to mess it up or get anything wrong. This post needs to be done though, people have asked if I have such a post and an anon suggested it. So finally, here it is. - What Is Warding? Warding is a type of magick, it is the act of creating an energetic barrier around you, your home, an object, ect. They can be temporary or permanent, although typically they are cast with the long term in mind. They can banish or turn away whatever you choose. Warding is an excellent skill to have because it can keep you, and even others safe and with practice you can do it anytime with just about whatever you have on hand. When Should I Ward? Whenever you want an energetic barrier around you, most people consistently ward their home, themselves or their place of practice. Some people even ward their space every time they prepare for a spell. It should be done consistently in any area you want protected, but exactly where and how often is entirely up to the practitioner. What Should I Do Before? Cleanse, a ward is a barrier of energy and in the same way that it keeps things out it also keeps things in. You don’t want to trap anything inside of it. Cleanse yourself before you ward yourself. Cleanse your space before you ward your space! Tips Before You Ward- Phrasing Keep the phrasing in mind! You don’t want to keep anything out that you want in, or let something in that you want out. If you’re chanting or using sigils ect keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out both in your methods and in your mind. Covering everything Make sure to cover everything, a ward is useless if there’s a weakness in it or if the ceiling & floor aren’t probably covered. Be super thorough! Layering Your Wards One small little wimpy barrier? Ha, the spirits say as they scramble into your home to wreak havoc! You need to layer your wards, don’t just use one method one time, there’s no such thing as too much warding. What Are Some Ways That I Can Ward? Now we’ll get right down to the methods you can use to ward yourself and your space! Remember that warding is important and needs to be effective, don’t try anything that you don’t have experience with for warding. At first, focus on the stuff you know. If you like sigils, use sigils at first and slowly work your way into using other more complex methods or methods that solely rely on your abilities. Circle Casting You cast a circle by summoning the four elements to protect & energize what is in the circle. - Here’s my post about circles & how to cast them Chanting/Speaking Come up with a protective chant you can use to ward your space. This chant could be someone else’s or your own as long as you feel it’s effective. Speak it aloud and visualize a layer of energy protecting your space. Incense Burn a protective incense in the space you’d like to ward and visualize a barrier protecting your space. Athame Draw out the line of your ward with your athame, visualize the wall appearing, covering everything with a thick layer of energy. Spraying Spray a mix of blessed/magickal waters and or herbs with protective properties in the space you want to ward. Sigils Create a sigil using your favorite method with the intent to “ward” or “protect/protection.” Then charge and activate it as a layer of protection! Here’s my post on sigils if you’re interested in that: - Sigil Post Jar Spells You could mix up a jar spell for warding, set it in your house and forget it as a layer of warding. - My protective jar spell post Anointment Anoint the doorways of your space, you could also anoint the ceiling, floor, walls, corners, honestly go for it. Salt Sprinkle salt all around the edge of your home or space. Make sure to sprinkle salt on the INSIDE of your harm as salt can harm plants & wildlife if used outside. If you’d like to make a barrier on the outside of your home, you can use dried & crushed eggshells in place of salt. - Post on how to make eggshell powder here - Hag stones Hag stones are stones with holes in them that have been corroded into the stone because of rushing water. It is believed rushing water is protective & cleansing so if you wear a stone that sat in it long enough to have parts corroded away, that the stone will maintain and keep those properties with it. It’s a great way to personally ward yourself, and an excuse to go out in nature. They look like this!

Energy Manipulation If you’ve got a knack for manipulating energy, you can create a barrier through work and visualization that surrounds yourself or your space. This isn’t recommended for beginners though! Links: - Horse Warding Charm By @anothersusurrus - House Warding Spritz Mixture By @seleneblackwell Both of these are great if you’re looking for specific spells, types of magick, correspondences, sigils, ect! - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 1 By @auricwitch - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 2 By @auricwitch Personal Wards Also remember not just to ward your space but yourself, if you layer your home with wards, what happens when you leave? Exactly. Keep yourself safe too! Circle casting & hag stones are great methods I mentioned above that are good for personal warding. Can I Ward Specific Things And Not Others? Absolutely! I mentioned this in the phrasing section of this post, keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out when you’re warding. I like words like “negative” or “harmful” or “with ill intent” because they don’t necessarily keep out the Fae or positive/neutral spirits but it does keep out anything that wants to harm you in general. Just think about it ahead of time, find wording or a phrase you like and keep that in mind as you ward. What If I Live With People? If you’re out of the broom closet, explain to your family/roommates what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and make sure they’re cool with it and are aware of what’s going on. If you’re not out of the broom closet, you may have to resort to only warding yourself/your room, & that’s okay! I hope this helps someone or teaches them something new! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

Aphrodite Glamour Water 💋
This glamour spell is one of the few that I use, and I can say that it’s worked for me quite well. Be careful, though. You may attract unwanted attention.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
a jar
water
rose petals (optional)
vanilla essential oil (optional)
red or pink candle (optional)
STEPS:
Pour the water inside the jar you wish to use.
💋 Put in your ingredients that you chose to use. As you put them in, visualize how you want people to look at you. If you want to be confident, visualize yourself being confident. If you want romantic or sexual attention, visualize yourself getting that. Whatever you want, just visualize yourself attracting it.
At this point, if you wish to use a candle, now is the time to pour your intentions into it & light it. If not, that’s fine. You can also call upon deities who correspond to love at this moment.
💋Stir the liquid clockwise so that it’s moving towards you. As you do so, continue to visualize your desired outcome.
💋 After that, it’s all done. You can leave it out by the window and allow the moon the charge it up. If you chose to light a candle, let it burn down.
WAYS TO USE IT:
♡ Dab some on your face before you leave the house in the morning. ♡ Put some on your face before you put any makeup or skin products on. ♡ You can use it in love spells by replacing the water with an oil of your choosing and anointing a pink or red candle with it, preforming the spell the same way. ♡ If you wear makeup, pour a little bit in a little cap of some sort and dab your makeup brushes in it to dampen the brush before you apply any eyeshadow or powder of any kind. ♡ If you want a specific person’s attention, you can dab some on a picture of them or drop a little bit where you know they will walk. ♡ Use it as an offering for deities corresponding to love, depending on your intention.

Random blurb for today.
I hope no one takes offense and if you do I humbly apologize but....
DO NOT USE TIK TOK (WITCH TOK) AS A RELIABLE RESOURCE.
As an adult I am seeing other adults and excitable children take everything someone says on this platform as law. This has probably been said already but I think it needs to be said over and over again until it’s drilled in everyone’s minds.
If you are having a conversation with someone and you ask them where they got their info from and they say tik tok...RUN. Okay maybe not run but give them the side eye and educate them on where they can find reliable resources.
*facepalm* Too many kiddos and sadly some adults are running around here with misinformation, doing things that are too advanced for them, and... and... treating the gods as if they are Pokémon like they have to “catch them all”. (Please don’t I beg of you.. for your sake.)
Research is your best friend. Take notes. Make it enjoyable for yourself to study different things and emerge yourself in the learning experience.
I am guilty of throwing myself in the line of fire as I am more of a hands on learner but.. making things fun has helped with just sitting down and researching. Your practice doesn’t have to be boring.

Witch tip: You can enchant a ton of everyday items for specific purposes. All those glamor spells where you enchant a specific lipstick to help you feel beautiful? Yeah. You can do that with just about anything. Your favorite mug? Enchanted so that every time you drink from it you take in positivity. Your lucky socks? Actually lucky. Take your comfort items and make them extra protective. Turn your showers into cleansing rituals. Make your routine, in and of itself, magical, without actually having to do any excessive work.

~10 Kinds Of Magical Books~
1. Book Of Shadows- A witch’s book of spells, rituals, personal feelings, etc. It is a general book for any metaphysical or religious information that you wish to put into it, among other things.
2.Bestiary- A sometimes hand-written encyclopedia or manual of mythological and magical creatures and beings, used for reference when you want to work with a non-human energy, or for general research.
3.Grimoire- Usually filled with tables and charts, lists relating to astrological, numerical, and color correspondences; properties of crystals, herbs, trees, etc. Contains moon phase meanings and medicinal properties of plants- This one has an old-timey textbook feel to it, usually.
4.Book Of Mirrors- a special journal, where you ‘reflect’ on things going on in your day to day life, providing deep insights which are invaluable when you’re doing work regarding personal growth. Very helpful with developing personal spiritual philosophies.
5.Book Of Moons- A book entirely relating to the moon and it’s cycles, names of the moons of each month, their attributes and energies, dates of lunar eclipses as well as full moon dates of upcoming moons. Filled with vast knowledge of lunar attributes and special dates of red moons, blue moons, etc.
6.Dream Journal- Here you record the dreams you have in as much detail as you can remember, and some people draw images from their dream adventures in this book as well, since dreams use the language of symbolism and imagery. You interpret the meanings of your dreams in here too, if you wish. Dreams can help us get a glimpse into our subconscious and the more dreams you write the easier it becomes for you to remember them.
7. Book of Visions- A vision book is used with the law of attraction, it is a ‘vision board’ in book form. Put different images of things you want in life, be they experiences, physical items, money, health, etc, in the pages of the book. Open the book up to pictures of what you want to visualize having. Think of this as an on-the-go vision board, except with much more space as there are so many pages!
8.Book Of Positive Aspects- At the top of each page you write the name of a topic that you are unhappy with, like ‘the workplace’ for example. Below the topic title you begin listing all the positive aspects of the subject, and by the end of your list your emotions will be in a much better place regarding the topic. You can do a list a day or many in one sitting, it is a valuable tool for cultivating positive energy or for switching viewpoints on things that normally would upset you.
9.Gratitude Journal- A book where you write about EVERYTHING you are thankful and appreciative for in your life right now. You feel overwhelmed with love and positivity when writing in this book, which aids you in raising your vibration and frequency.
10. Book Of Intuitions- a psychic journal, it’s a book where all divination and psychic exercises are recorded, ranging from full tarot spreads, to tea leaf readings, even psychic impressions you pick up off people. It’s handy for tracking progress as well as for record keeping.

A New Witch’s Dictionary 📖
Disclaimer: This is all based on my opinion. It is not perfectly alphabetized. Altar • A place for all of your witch supplies, tools, a place to meditate and worship your deities. It is the center of your practice. Astrology • You’ve probably heard of astrology, in witchcraft it is used as a form of divination. Astral projection • Astral projection is a purposeful out-of-body experience where you, well, project a version of your consciousness (also known as an astral body) to a location that is separate from your physical body. Athame • A ritualistic dagger used as a tool in witchcraft. Aura • An energetic field that surrounds a living creature, usually people are referring to humans when this term is used. Baby witch • A witch who is new to the world of witching and the community. Beltane • A sabbat that celebrates fertility and the coming of summer. Besom • A broom used as a tool in witchcraft to cleanse. Binding • A type of spell or magick used to bind something, as in keep it from continuing behavior or causing harm. Boline • A dagger or knife used as a tool in witchcraft to cut and harvest herbs. Banishing • A type of spell or magick used to get rid of something or someone. Book of shadows • A book or journal used by a witch to store information. Candle magick • The usage of candles in magick, usually in combination with color or sigil magick. The words can rhyme and often correspond with your intent. Clairovoyance • A type of divination where you see or perceive events in the future. Circle • A circle is a type of spell you cast in magick, it enhances your powers and protects you. Closed culture/religion • A closed culture, or religion is something that is closed off to people outside of it and does not condone taking (appropriating) anything from it. Color magick • A type of magick based around color, the idea is you use certain colors that you associate with certain things to make a spell more powerful. Ex: Using pink in a love spell. Correspondence • A connection or association with something, you could use the example I stated above. If pink corresponds with love, you use it in a love spell. This usually refers to the usage/picking of ingredients for a spell. Coven • A group of witches that often socialize, or gather. Crystal magick • The usage of crystals for magick. Ex: Using clear quartz to cleanse something. Curse • A negative spell that has permanent, sometimes deadly effects on someone. Divination • Seeking information or guidance by supernatural means. Glamour • A type of magick or spell that changes someones appearance or energy. Grimoire • Another word for a Book Of Shadows, a book or journal used by a witch to store information and experiences. Hex • A negative spell, like a curse but less powerful, unlike a curse it’s usually not permanent. Imbolc • One of the sabbats, it celebrates the coming of Spring. Intuition • A supernatural or unexplainable feeling that warns, guides, or helps you. Evocation • To call or summon a spirit/entity/deity. Jinx • This falls under the category of curses and hexes, as in it is a negative spell.
