one thing i’ve noticed during the rtd2 era is fans trying to come up with convoluted theories to make rtd’s plots make sense and/or be good. every time i see one of those posts, i really wonder just how much thought you think he puts into these plots? the same man who says he had no plan for mrs flood and writes things for engagement? you guys think he’s smarter than he is, and then act surprised when the episodes turn out bad. come on

My favorite part of doctor who ever is when the doctor does their whole “I refuse to kill this villain/monster because of merciful moral reasons” bit and then immediately follows it with “so instead I will trap them alone in a barren hell dimension for all eternity”. It’s like that’s worse, though. do you get why that’s worse.

dude Lestat and his mom have a crazy relationship idk if you've read the books but as soon as she starts cross-dressing/identifying as a man he's like "man........ she's lookin hot" and talks about wanting to ravish her. he's like "she's not my mother anymore, we are companions" and then calls her mother constantly . also she doesn't like him
