A Splash of Color
Remember that big test you studied so hard for in school? That really important one?
Do you remember failing that test and having your teacher’s pen slash through all of your wrong answers? To make matters worse, she probably used a red pen. Why is that red pen so noteworthy?
Because there is a psychology behind colors and the memory of that red pen all over your test may have conjured up some unpleasant feelings just now.
Dating back to the ancient cultures of the Egyptians and the Chinese, chromotherapy (the use of colors to heal) has been in use for quite some time.  While believing certain colors may have particular affects on an individual, the importance of colors in marketing are more common than you may have originally thought.
The Logo Company, a logo design service, provided a chart online including some of the most popular companies’ logo’s, their respective colors, and what emotions those colors evoke.
Within the past few days, Jessica and Joanie have been working on logo ideas and studying up on colors that best represents their brand.
Jessica is hoping Beyond Logic leaves an inspirational, cultural, and expressive impression upon both the competition and the consumers. Joanie wants to steer clear from red, yellow and purple but for reasons that don’t follow the Color Emotion Guide.
“It’s because [those colors] are very common for fast food restaurants,” said Joanie.
The girls discussed potential colors but have not committed to anything just yet. Until then, Beyond Logic is still creating new designs and looking into fabrics.

Journey to Launch
Jessica and Joanie are the brains behind Beyond Logic clothing and are eager to debut their dreams and designs to the world! With themes of globe-trotting, the girls invite reality into their work only to later twist and explore beyond what is considered the norm. Octopuses attacking sushi boats or a clumsy, angry Buddha are only a few examples of the fun and abnormal Beyond Logic is looking to promote with their clothing. Both girls are new to the fashion world and are taking their obstacles in stride. In the future, Jessica and Joanie hope to work with other upcoming artists whether it be in music or art.
"We're showing our journey and we want to show the journey of others as well," said Jessica.
Beyond Logic is looking to push their clothing line out sometime during the summer of 2014. In the meantime, the girls are excited to welcome you to watch the process and follow them along their journey to launch!
