Hazard Identification (Pagtukoy ng mga Bantang Panganib)
Ano-ano ang mga kalamidad/hazards na tumama sa ating barangay? Paki-kwento.
“Ang mga kalamidad na tumamma sa baranggay ay mga baha, bagyo, sunog, lindol yung malala yung ondoy pati mga hangin habagat.”
Ano ang iba pang mga panganib na nakaapekto ng matindi sa ating pamayanan?
“Pag bagyo nasisira na yung mga bahay at natatanggal yung mga bubong”
Paano nalalaman na may parating na bantang sakuna? (maaring siyentipiko at/o lokal na palatandaan at babala)
“Syempre Through Social Media, radio, PAGASA”
Gaano kadalas ito nangyayari sa ating pamayanan?
“Hindi naman madalas kasi kung madalas neneyerbusin tayo lagi niyan”

“ mga gamit kasi halimbawa mga sunog kasi kami umaalalay kami sa mga may sunog nagproprovide kami ng mga tent mga pagkain”

Ano-ano ang ginagawa ng pamayanan at barangay sa paghahanda/pag-iwas at kung sakaling may mga bantang panganib tulad ng bagyo, baha, lindol na dumating?
“nag kokonduct kami ng pagtuturo, paano paghahanda pagdating ng mga calamity ano dapat ihanda”
Ano ang nilalaman ng plano ng Barangay pagdating ng sakuna? (kung kaya hingin o hiramin ang BDRRM Plan, Hazard and Safety Map, Barangay Projects for different sectors like Youth, Women, Children, Elderly, Poor, PWD etc.)
“ meron naman para malaman saan yung evacuation centers tsaka mga posibleng route para makapuntunta sa malapit na evacuation center”
Sa kasalukuyan, anong programa, sistema, gamit, pasilidad o kakayahan meron ang barangay na makakatulong sa mga tao , serbisyo at kabuhayan na makabangon mula sa epekto ng kalamidad? Isa-isahin natin.
“katulad sa sunog may apat kaming firetrucks tapos sa mga bagyo nakaalalay din kami sa mga tao”
Sino ang mga taong namamahala sa paghanda, pagharap at pagtugon sa kalamidad?
“ syempre yung mga committee sa risk reduction management, si kapitan, yung council, kami naapasan din kami inaattendan din namin yan”

HAZARDOUS PLACES SPS AND RIVERBANKS LIFEHOMES
Those are the hazardous place of Pasig because the area is kind of small and crowded it’s hard to enter especially for the ambulance, fire trucks,and barangay officials to enter. It also one of the poorest area in the community
(For the third picture it’s the bridge before lifehomes and under the bridge are the areas that pasig officials considered as the poorest area. I couldn’t take a closer pic because of the surrounding since it’s crowded and not safe for people to walk)

REFLECTION
1. Describe the situation of your community in the context of hazard and disaster. Analyze the answers of the Barangay Officials you interviewed.
Baranggay Rosario is from District 2 of Pasig City. During Disasters like typhoon, earthquakes, etc. the Barangay officials prepare foods and materials that could help the people to survive. They go to different places to give donations like food and clothes. They get updates from the government on the situation of the disaster and they inform the people immediately to prepare them. They have evacuation map to help the people to be familiarize where to go.
2. What are the issue confronting the community? Why do you think those issues you mentioned are happening in the community? What possible solutions can the local government do to address these issues?
The issues that the community or the barangay officials are confronting are the people who don't follow them and the poor areas of the community. We think that those issues are happening because of lack attention and sometime they really don't follow us. In order to help them and solve the issues, us the local government along with them should have agreement and help them as much as we can so that when disasters occur they won't have a hard time.
3. Kindly result your discussion to the disaster situation of our country.
The discussion between me and the brgy. Official on the disaster situation on the community actually has similarities to the disaster situation of our country. In ever places the government practice the people on where to go and what to do when a disaster occur. They guide us and protect us like the brgy officials. The government are the source of information when a disaster occur. There are disasters like landslides, tsunami, earthquakes, typhoon, and many more that happens to the barangay as well as the whole country. Just as the barangay experience the poor areas pf the community the country has also experience those actually a lot areas.
4. What are your realizations and insights learned after the kwentuhan and community walk?
After the activity I learned that no matter what disaster occur to us we need to be prepared and be familiarize with the places we need to go. Not all the time the barangay officials can come to us as they also need to focus o the poorest area in the community. We need to help other and be considerate on the situations and we need to learn how to take care of our community. Being part of the community gives us the privilege to serve and help others so that we can all live in peace.
5. Based on the facts above, why do we need to address the issues of disasters in our country? How do we address it?
We need to address the issues of disaster in our country because we need to educate people on the situation. We need to educate them to ask help so that when disaster occur we would know what to do. Media is a big thing in our generation today, using the media can be a platform to educate people. Famous influencers and other artists can be our voice to seek the attention of people because we also will benefit it. Even if the government won't listen to us at least we knew what we can do and what will do when something happened. We can help others and provide them the information that they need.
6. As a member of this community and this nation, What Possible concrete solutions can you do to address the vulnerabilities? What actions should you take to increase the capabilities of your own community/ country?
As a member of this community and this nation the possible solution that I can think to address the vulnerabilities is to be the voice to the people and to be an example to other people. By simple donating and spreading information to educate people. By following the orders of the officials so that people would see the benefit of following them. Being a leader to the people to help them to be safe when disaster occur. Being the voices to the poorest area of the community and help them to have a proper living such as a place to make sure they are safe when disaster occur to them. Collaborating or agreeing with the government and the barangay officials to help the community to be safe and to be as one.
