Some guy asked me to send a picture of myself and I sent this one. He then said “what the hell is wrong with your face?!? Damn! U cute tho.”

My crazy hair now! Been working on a natural journey but I was bad 😬😬😬. I box dyed my hair red!!! No damage was done but I am already missing my black curls. I’ve wanted light hair forever but every time I do it I end up missing the jet black.

ALSO! If you’ve been thinking about doing the legendary rice water wash, DO IT! I haven’t done it in a while but after a month of doing it (every other day) I was amazed at many benefits from it! Less breakage, less hair loss after combing, cleared any dandruff and itchiness I was having issues with, and most importantly my hair looked and felt smooth and shiny after multiple days instead of dry and brittle after a couple hours! I felt like I had more hair growth in that short amount of time than I’ve ever had but I’d like to do it again and actually measure it to see if there is a difference.

I finally found someone who can handle my hair without charging an arm and a leg and she truly takes care of my curls and keeps my length too. I am sad to say she doesn’t work at the salon I used to go to and I don’t know where she’s gone 😭😭😭😭 but Jessica at PR@partners, you were my hair’s savior for the past 4 years and I’ll never forget you! ❤️❤️❤️

QUESTION: how many times have you had to talk yourself out of cutting, coloring, relaxing, or even shaving your curls because you were just over it?

Currently struggling with a length I’m not happy with and struggling with healthy styling that I enjoy. I’m constantly finding myself throwing a wig on because I’m just so sick of my hair. Opinions?

What a time to get back on this conversation! I’ve been gone from here for a few years and during the entire curly revolution. Let me say, I am proud of ALL your curls and coils, your locs and relaxers. Beauties, you have done it! Round of applause to all of you!

I could not be more proud! As someone who has gone through most her years in highschool relaxer after relaxer, I cannot believe the natural movement has thrived in such an amazing way!

I’d like to add that I am also seeing more and more women from all races and backgrounds choosing bright and exotic colors too! Y’all I’m gonna cry! I can FINALLY google “red hair biracial woman” and find what I’m looking for on page 1 instead of page 10!

Please ladies! Pat yourselves on the back! It may seem small, but for our children to have figures to look up to that ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE THEM. Oh...my heart ❤️❤️❤️

Salon Experience

So I recently read about the horrible salon experience you had, and firstly I'd like to say, I am so sorry! Secondly, I want to make a suggestion! If you go online and google 'deva stylists in my area', it will show you a list of salons near you with Deva inspired stylists, or stylists who are highly trained to handle textured hair. I went to one and I will never have anyone BUT a Deva stylist touch my hair ever again! You can also find many vids on YouTube of people's experiences with their Deva Cuts, and see the magic! I can share my own transformation pics as well! :)
