I’ve spent an hour trying to find the “Harry Potter Has A YouTube Channel And Muggles Think He’s A Really Good Shit Poster” post so I could reblog something on it but I can’t. So I’m sorry to whoever made that post (I wouldn’t even be able to link it because I only ise Tumblr through the mobile app).

Anyway, the OP of this idea had Harry starting up a YouTube channel with titles like “MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE CHOSEN ONE” and a comment analysis afterwards, by some suspected Hermione, showing that - since muggles think he’s just shitposting, and not being at all serious - Harry isn’t actually breaking the Statute of Secrecy.

Now, for those of you who are fans of the Percy Jackson series or Rick Riordan’s other works, you may be familiar with another Child of Prophecy: called Percy Jackson (he was actually attached to quite a few prophecies AND briefly possessed by a God for all I haven’t actually read Son of Sorbek yet too).

Harry Potter and Percy Jackson have crossed over before, however timeline wise Percy was born in the summer before Harry’s third year at Hogwarts. Making Harry thirteen years older the Percy. Just...

Eighteen year old Percy Jackson sitting down after Heroes of Olympus and no longer caring about the possibility of monsters tracking him through his electronic usage as he looks for mindnumbing videos of cats or something to ease the memories and de-stress. Only because YouTube works like YouTube does, ending up on some of Harry’s videos. Maybe even emailing a now thirty-one year old Harry Potter for advice on how to cope.

Or a twelve year old Percy browsing YouTube at school and coming across the videos and emailing then. Causing a twenty-five year old Harry Potter to take a deep breath and pack for a trip to New York because for all he’s constantly ribbed for his ‘saving people thing’ he knows adults suck and the adults Percy wrote about sounded like they really sucked. But he also knew how much he just needed to be able to speak to someone at times.

Harry Potter having no idea how to mentor a teenage-chosen-one but helping by just being there, and maybe he learns a thing or two himself as well. (He could hook up with the God-Killers in the House of Life). Also:

“Sorry kid, I stopped doing math when I was eleven. My fancy ass boarding school only offered it as an elective. It’s... a... goblin thing? I guess? Yeah, that’s probably it. Goblins run the wizard bank you see.”
