headcanon that annabeth once spilled sauce on her shirt during lunch. and proceeded to remove said article of clothing before wordlessly stripping percy of the shirt off his back and wore it for the duration of the meal. and from that point foreward. anytime annabeth needs a shirt. she'll look at percy. and he'll sigh in defeat.

I see a lot of posts about how Percy isn't the point of the story in pjo and the story is about the Thalia-Luke-Annabeth narrative and I do agree to a great extent but I do also think it needs to be said the reason why percy is the narrator and not one of them is because he is the cycle-breaker - without him it would have stayed a tragedy but because of him it changed. This is most obvious in how he rejects immortality and instead demands greater support for half-bloods, obviously, but also he trusted annabeth enough to give Luke the knife! he disliked the gods enough to understand Luke even if he didn't agree with his methods and I think that empathy is so so crucial actually! The T-L-A story is built like a mythological tragedy, Percy exists to break the cycle of the story, he's the hero that ends happily.

i always thought poseidon suddenly being besties with percy had a large part in the fact that percy had just a seething anger towards poseidon in the first book and once the gods realised what was happening with luke they were like “oh shit” bc you have a hermes kid turn to the dark side ehhh that can maybe be dealt with
but a child of the big 3?? nah it’s over
so they kinda sent poseidon to curve that whole thing but percy took that shit and RAN with it
he saw that poseidon could do it and said “ok so if you can everyone else can too! cool so where’s the reparations🤨” and in the end he’s solidly grown himself in like a weed with the gods like he’s this little whispering voice in the back of the gods heads and it’s so funny

Haven't read The Demigod Diaries in forever but wasn't it in Paris? Or is this for their non-God orchestrated first date?
What do we think Percy and Annabeth did for their first date? Did they go cute and chill and do a beach picnic? An ADHD dream date and go to the arcade? Did they try too hard and go to a fancy dinner where Percy is sweating buckets and accidentally unionizes the lobsters? We just don’t know

instead of calling Piper/Jason jasper, or something like that, why don’t we call it ‘Lightning-McLean’ ??

I think the campfire (hearth) is supposed to be the camp's tribute to her so giving her a cabin would cause issues. But also it was definitely just so Luke and Percy would interact.
Pjo but Hestia has her own cabin and unclaimed kids go there because she’s the goddess of the house and home. So 1: the Hermes cabin isn’t so crowded and 2: so they can get claimed faster if all the unclaimed kids are in one area.

going insane about how the big three kids have never been and never can be complete, because bianca's death was before hazel and jason, and nico and percy will never feel like the family is complete without her, and estelle is honourary but she will grow up without jason and without bianca, and the big three kids are never complete and never can be and it's insane to think about that their family will never be full. thalia is barely around and hazel has too much responsibility and percy is trying to get out and nico is barely holding them together. do you get it? that there is no picture that has them in their entirety? that there is nothing that can fully encapsulate them? because every experience lacks someone, something?

Percy and Nico's relationship dynamic peaked in pjo when it was gremlin teenager trying to wrangle gremlin child

actually I do mourn what hoo did to Percy and Nico's relationship because in pjo it was such a hilarious love-hate thing. Like Percy's this long-suffering and exasperated but protective older cousin figure while Nico is Nico and is feral and dramatic and craves Percy's approval while also loathing him at the same time. Like. Amazing stuff at play there.
Then in hoo Percy's like Nico? yeah he can die I guess and listen listen I'm not saying its out of character for Percy to be vengeful or for him to be annoyed by Nico. Like I think its very on point (see him strangling Nico for betraying him in tlo). However, I think the way it should have played out is Percy being fuming at Nico in his head but the moment Jason and Leo are like "Nico's shady so maybe we shouldn't rescue him?" an instant switch flips off and Percy's like "Um only I can talk shit about Nico and we're going to save him because if he's going to die its going to be by my hand"

In multiple ways the universe has set up Dionysus to call Will Solace “Walker Scobel” in the show and I will be so disappointed if it doesn’t happen.

It is unbelievable to me that two months away from the release, people are still complaining about the casting of Annabeth Chase. Specially, when the only justification for their complain is “she needed to be blonde”. Because no. She didn’t need to be blonde.
The whole reason for her appearance was to represent the girls that get overlooked or face bad stereotypes just because of her physical traits, and not only blonde girls face these issues. Do you know who else does? Women of color, especially black girls.
The casting of Annabeth is perfect to show representation of black girls being wise, driven, resourceful, strong… and all the great qualities she has. Yet, you keep reducing her as if only her hair color mattered.
Honestly, Book!Annabeth would totally throw you to the floor judo style if she saw you saying that being a blonde is all she had to offer.
