my favorite angst plot device in 8059 fics is how in tyl fics yamamoto left to play ball in the states but came back to the vongola, and gokudera must definitely holds it against him

in yamamoto's wiki page it says "yamamoto loves milk and even once told gokudera to drink some because he thinks gokudera's constant frustration was due to lack of calcium (oblivious that his easy-going attitude was actually the cause of it)"

i'm always thinking about that scene where bianchi throws on gokudera's face that she's the legitimate child of their father. gokudera was visibly depressed during the future arc, he was so damn alone and lost. that's where shamal's presence would've helped that kid so much.

but THEN you had that dumb scene where bianchi shows gokudera the letters and is like "oh you were so loved. you were born out of love"..... when everything previously established about gokudera's childhood completely contradicts that. i hate it :)

it was such a missed opportunity not to make shamal a normal character. gokudera's relationship with him was great during the varia arc, i wish that got explored more. that's gokudera's father figure alright, why he gotta be a stereotypical perverted shonen character

shamal, along with bianchi, are the only two people that call gokudera "hayato". and bianchi is his sister.

you just know amano couldn't commit to the fact gokudera's father was a piece of shit, and he grew up looking up to the doctor that came over to the mansion instead. gokudera is a total brat around shamal, that's a father-son relationship if i had ever seen one. WHY couldn't we get more of it, especially during the future arc. (where even WAS shamal in the future arc.... was he dead???)

the fact dino's first va also did ikki from air gear is something i will never forget. i do like kenn as dino and all, but ikki is that boy for me, that va made dino sound so young.
