Carley's fanfic Wait for Me has recently received 100 kudos! She was so excited about reaching the goal that I dropped my other doodles-in-progress to work on this gift for her right away! Pencil sketching took hours since I'm out of practice when it comes to drawing hands. I had to take pictures of my own hands in heart poses to draw them properly! And I resorted to using my own pillow as a model to hold so I could get the finger positions right (the pillow's width was similar to my own from shoulder to shoulder). I should invest in an artists' wooden posing model. I did have fun messing around with the boys' curls; as you can see, I redesigned their hairstyles since the initial pencil doodles (may or may not be finalized). I'll draw them with slicked-back hair at a later date. I spent a lot of time over the weekend trying to figure out how I wanted to draw these two characters full-bodied while following the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss cartoon style. I found so much wrong with their arms, hands, and fingers when it came to proportions and positions that I went into OCD mode for hours on Photoshop until I was happy with the results. Ugh! My phone's camera photos are way too big, for some reason (big enough to make posters, I'd say). Resizing the image after editing on Photoshop messes with the quality so I decided to upload this art as it is: ginormous, yet high-quality. Sorry about the size. Next time, I'm shrinking the sketch photographs before editing on Photoshop to make reasonably-sized digital art. Anyway, I think this is my best work yet. I hope I got the colors right. Enjoy the translucent heart and the '30s fashion! (Seriously, the legs of the men's pants from that decade look too loose.)

So after making those pencil doodles, I decided to open the Adobe Photoshop program my older brother installed for me on my laptop a few years ago. I'd been wanting to use it to create amazing digital art like I'd seen so many artists show off online but I didn't know how to make it work. Ugh! I finally got it to work for me recently, and boy, do I feel like a dumdum for not doing it sooner. I should've spent more time figuring out the proper functions and whatnot. Better late than never, I guess. I feel like so many possibilities have just opened up for me. I decided to experiment with one of the doodle photos, and got to work on coloring. I had to darken some of the fading pencil lines to prevent the paint fills from flowing out and spilling into the background. Molly is turning out quite nicely! What the heck am I doing with my time? I haven't even finished those reaction shots I was working on these past few days.
Sorry, I've been so busy lately making extra money for the upcoming MomoCon that I keep conking out every night before witching hour. I managed to book myself a hotel room for May. Silva Hound has been announced as one of the guests so I'm expecting "Addict" to be played during a panel or concert! Speaking of, I was introduced to Hazbin Hotel during last year's MomoCon, where guest performers sang a cover of "Addict". Yeah, I saw the music video before I watched the pilot (and Angel Dust became one of my favorite characters). Heh.

Hello, Carley (and everyone else)! I hope you read this whole text! I worked on a little surprise for you last week and just got it all done on a Thursday night! I felt so inspired that the urge to draw fan art for you refused to leave me so... here we are with my eight initial pencil doodles of the characters in your Hazbin Hotel fan fiction "Wait for Me"! Admittedly, the last three doodles were a bit rushed because I wanted to get everything done before my Friday lunch date with my best friend. I can't call it my best work, but overall, I am proud of how they turned out! I want you to be the first to check this out and give me your critique! But if you don't like this, I'll take down this post without complaint (even though I really want to draw reaction shots and outfits with your permission). I waited till you uploaded the newest chapters to post this on my brand new tumblr page. I took pictures with my phone camera since I didn't have a scanner.
I would've broken out my wooden case of art supplies to color everything if I wasn't still very worried that I may have messed up some details. (Is the hair curly enough or too curly? Is the freckle count inaccurate? Is the beauty mark on the wrong side of the face? Did I get the face shape or fringe style wrong?) This is also my first time drawing anything in a cartoony style (and I'm sure my usual anime-esque style still leaked out here and there; what a difficult transition). I thought drawing the characters in the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss cartoon style would best capture the... spirit of the fandom / essence of the series, however I should put it. I hope it doesn't disappoint badly. In case it wasn't obvious, Molly was the very first one I doodled, and then I worked on Anthony. I don't know why I parted Alastor's hair on the left side (at least his forehead is visible). Also, I feel like I messed up Maddy's hair (she, Rosie, and Hank were the last characters I drew). Lipstick is hard to draw! About those eyes, I guess I was going for an aloof big brother look for Bruno (I don't know if I failed). And I need to go back and fix Hank's sideburns and eyebrows.
Carley already gave the OK for reblogs. It's her fan work and if you're interested, you can read on Wattpad or Archive of Our Own! (I've added the links) Check out her other works, too! And her Twitter page, if you want!
