ALSO where's that post about how hotel transylvania was a masterwork from a technical stand point, because kpop demon hunters wasn't slouching either

the saja boys' legs look silly as stills in this moment, but as part of the whole scene it honestly works because they're so zoomed out that this quick exaggerated movement really carries how fluidly they're dancing. you'd lose a lot of detail when the camera is this far away otherwise, but this noodly leg movement compensates for it.

i dont like 3D animation in general because you are locked in to whatever you have built - you lose the ability to break anatomy or fill a scene to make interesting compositions in each shot. but sony's artists have managed to turn 3D models back in to cartoons and i love it so much. hotel transylvania, into the spiderverse, mitchells vs the machines, and now this. its SO good
