“Pain Exist”
Welcome to my entry of the new book that I read here in bigdreamerlusion, the book I'm going to talk about is called "The lovely bones" by Alice Sebold.

SummaryÂ
The book is about an ordinary 14-year-old girl named Susie Salmon who is kidnapped, raped and murdered by her neighbor Mr. Harvey, who put her in a hole that he created in a cornfield, after his death his family was devastated but  they had hope to find her alive, but the neighbor erase the traces of murder.
Susie from heaven that is not exactly heaven, it is an intermediate between the heaven and life observes how the life continues without her. At the moment in which she realizes that she was dead she found "angels" that help her understand death.
On earth after a while her family realizes that she was really dead, the mother can not deal with the pain and leaves the house, being unfaithful to her husband, Susie's dad, Jack Salmon intends to find the murderer of his daughter. Her sister suspected who could be Susie's killer but they never believed her so she decides to look for evidence and prove it, when she found the evidence she gave it to a detective, but the neighbor escape with Susie's body and they never saw them again . With the passage of time the family manages to get ahead without forgetting Susie, and Susie manages to follow her way to the real heaven.

Think about itÂ
It is a very interesting book full of suspense and intrigue and I chose it because it called my attention and having read it I realized that the book doesn’t only apply to people who feel identified, it applies to everyone especially teenagers just like me, I'm exposed to the same dangers that she passed.Â
Every day that I arrive from the truck stop, I walk alone to my house just as Susie did, and the book taught me that in just one second even in your daily routine you can be in danger.
I liked this book a lot because it made me think that in life we are exposed to any type of abuse, it can come from any side or any person that we believe “she or he is a good person”. Never in life should you let yourself be carried away by a good smile or by someone who looks the most innocent, you have to go further and really investigate thoroughly before relating to a stranger, preventing any strange behavior or any abuse, there is no “we trust easily in someone”, because people have many hidden things, and they can surprise us, we do not know in what way, but we must be careful and very cautious with the decisions we make and who we put into our lives.
I really analyze this quote said by Susie:
“Sometimes the dreams that come true are the dreams you never even knew you had.”
- Alice Sebold
and I came to the conclusion that this phrase refers to that sometimes the most unexpected things become the best thing that could happen to you and even if it did not go through your mind. i really like this frase because I think it has happened to everyone and they have not even noticed it.
This quote was my favorite it was the one that gave me the main message of the book and Ruth was the one who said it:
“Because horror on Earth is real and it is every day. It is like a flower or like the sun; it cannot be contained”Â
- Alice Sebold
This phrase is completely true because all the horror that exists in the world is inevitable. Sometimes life fills us with pain, it shakes us very strong, so strong that sometimes it is very difficult to get up and keep going but that doesn’t mean you stay there or conform. May pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.
This sentence left me thinking , is that really the meaning of death? Susie was the one who said it.
“What did dead mean, it meant lost, it meant frozen, it meant gone.”
- Alice Sebold
I believe that there is no real meaning about death, everyone has his own way of seeing life and death.
How many people can we love in a life, even at the same time in a day?
There are so many ways to love, every person you love is part of who you are today. The greatest love is that of someone who always exists within you, not as a memory but as someone who is present in you, even if he or she is not there with you. Like the love that felt susie for her family, especially for her father who was the one who felt her and fought to do justice.
Since we were little people taught us that love is nothing more than an emotion between people. That's why we doubt eternal love, but if there is something eternal IS LOVE. Love to everything! everything you touch, everything you see, everything you hear, everything you smell, the love of all that because is what makes us remember that we are alive.Â
I think that's how Suisie thought before she was killed, and in the course of the book i think that's what Susie Salmon teaches us, to feel love for being alive, to enjoy every moment of your life because you never know in what moment life can be taken from you.

“Number on the scale”

This book is called "Wintergirls".
I started reading it at the end of the partial, so unfortunately I could not finish it, but I hope to finish it on vacation.
Why do I choose this book?
Well, the book deals with a very sensitive topic, a psychological issue that I'm honestly very interested in it because of my own experience dealing with the kind of problems that the book presents, such as depression and eating disorders.
I enjoyed reading this book because I identified a lot and I had reflections with myself that made me grow as a person, right now I am recovered and I feel that the book was a tool that helped me not to relapse since It makes me more aware of all the damage that this type of diseases can cause in your person and in those around you.
The book is about two friends with eating disorders. Lia who has anorexia and Cassie who has bulimia, Cassie dies at the beginning of the story, they don´t known why but they believed that his illness led her to death. Cassie before dying asks Lia for help but she doesn´t answer her because they were angry.
Lia feels very guilty and decides to continue fulfilling the promise that she made when she was a kid “be the skinniest girl”
Lia's parents try to help her, they are very worried about her weight and her illness. Her mother is a doctor but she gave up and decided not to live with her anymore, so she lives with her father, her stepmother, and her stepsister.
Lia has been admitted to a clinic called New Seasons 2 times, and apparently she don´t had improvements, only raised in weight but immediately she went back down again.

After Cassie's death, she appears as a ghost telling her that she is fat and that she has to lose weight, which I see as a metaphor that Cassie is the disease in Lia's mind, being the anorexia the insitates and devaluates her so that she continues losing weight.
Lia is so skinny that she has no friends, everyone is afraid of her.
And it will be her decision to receive the help of doctors and the people who want her to be cured or continue tormented living in the hell of an eating disorder.
Quotes:
“In one aspect, yes, I believe in ghosts, but we create them. We haunt ourselves.”
I think this phrase is very true, all people create their own ghosts and there are times when only oneself can get rid of them, but normally people spend their lives blaming everything but ourselves and that is why people can´t defeat their ghosts

“What do I want?
The answer to that question does not exist.”
I believe that this phrase represents that most people do not really know what they really want, it is complicated to understand but people almost always want superficial things and do not know what they really want.
“Who wants to recover? It took me years to get that tiny. I wasn't sick; I was strong.”
I quite identify with this quote because when you have a problem we can not see beyond what our sick mind tells us and not only happens with eating disorders but with many things of daily life, when someone looks for something that Do you really want that? That's the question, do you really want it? Is it really worth the effort for you to get negative results?

The living Monster

Hello again, today I would like to tell you about a novel I am reading called Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley. First of all I want to say that I admire her since I start reading her novel, it is a great novel, very interesting and creative.Â
What did you don't know about Mary Shelley is that she had four children when she was only 18 years old, but only one survived. How strong it must have been for her, don’t you think?Â

Another interesting fact about her is that a nightmare that she had cause the first ideas that emerged for this Frankenstein novel, and what did you don't know is that Frankenstein was her first novel.Â
Mary names real places that were important to her life in the book of Frankenstein, and also her son named Will in the story Will is the little brother of Dr. Frankenstein that's why there are aspects in Mary's life that are present in the story.

My main reaction with the book was quite surprising, I had never read the story, I don't even know much about it, I knew about Frankenstein because he is a well-known fictitious character but I had no idea of the story behind. When I started reading I hooked very fast, the truth is that from the beginning I found the story very interesting and very creative and I liked it a lot.Â

Something very interesting is that I believe that the story was plot-based and also character based because she had fixed ideas of what she wanted to happen in the story, but also at the same time she directed the story according to the reaction of the characters and what happened to them.
Some of my favorite quotes of the story and why are:
“Nothing is so painful to the human mind as a great and sudden change.”
 - Mary ShelleyÂ
In these quote You can say how much the changes hurt but nevertheless you have to learn to accept them because there are always going to be changes in our lives. I liked this quote because I think that everyone has been hurt by some change but precisely because there are always changes that change can be changed as you decide.Â

“Live, and be happy, and make others so.”
 - Mary ShelleyÂ
These quote is right and I like it because the most beautiful feeling of life is happiness and it is very important to feel it and make others feel as well because that will make your happiness increase. I think this phrase refers to being happy no matter what.Â

“My dreams were all my own I accounted for them to nobody; they were my refuge when annoyed- my dearest pleasure when free.”Â
- Mary ShelleyÂ
Dreams are a personal thing that not everyone likes to share, sometimes dreams are unattainable but beautiful to imagine. Many people live dreaming impossible things because they are like a refuge from reality. I liked the quote because I love to dream impossible things and live in my dreams since they take me out of reality.

 “All men hate the wretched.”Â
- Mary Shelley
Today there are many things that drive the human being to hate, unhappiness is one of the factors that make people hate. I think that when we hate someone, we hate in their image something that is inside us. Unhappiness makes us hate but not only people but life and even yourself I liked these quote because many people suffer from hate and unhappiness and it is important to identify what makes us hate or what makes us unhappy.Â

I think that what makes the Setting unique in the story is that it is perfect, first the Frankenstein surname sounds very European and the context of how they lived and the clothes they wore was a very European style Then in the icy waters of the Arctic it gives the story coldness, fear, anguish all where a monster lives, I really believe that they chose a good setting for the story.Â
I do not think the story could take place anywhere because it would not agree with the characters or with the plot of the story.Â
My opinion about the creature changed a lot through the story because at the beginning it shows no danger and no evil, when the story is happening you realize that it is good, supportive and the only thing he was looking for was a friend and company, but then it becomes vengeful and dangerous and then he kill a child!!! and with that i change all my perspective about him.
I identify myself a lot with the character of Elizabeth in the novel because I consider myself a very sensitive woman and I have dreams of love and joy just like her. Also one thing that identifies me very much to her is that I am madly in love with my boyfriend as she is with Victor.
I used to think that society could not change a person but when I read the book I realized how much a person can change when there are emotional problems caused by society . this is the case that happened to Frankenstein, after being created society does not accept it, they reject it, he suffer from violence and even think that life is not as beautiful as it thought it was, and the truth is that this happens with many people today society makes them see life in a dark way. so my perspective on society changed, because I did not realized how much society influences people.

What I learned from the novel was that in life you can be rejected and society can make you feel bad, it can even change your way of being, thinking or behaving. I learned many things by reading this book and I also became aware of many other things.
I do not think that the book makes people change their way of thinking, well at least I do not change my way of thinking, it just made me aware of some things, but unfortunately I do not believe that humanity changes the social pressure that exists today only by reading the book.
Does the title suits the story? Yes a lot because the Frankenstein family is the one that makes up the story. Victor Frankenstein was the creator of this creature and thanks of that the story has a meaning, the main character is a dark creature and for me the name Frankenstein sounds like “Freaky”, something dark and scary. With this I conclude, to all who are reading this blog I highly recommend the book as it has many things to give and that you can stay.

“Book Adiction”
Hi everyone, my name is Regina Waring Silva and I am in the first grade of high school, the truth is that I did not like reading much when I was little, but I love writing and that's why I have to read, and read a lot in the course of my life and the truth is that I have already begun to like reading.Â
I'll tell you how I started to like it, at first they always left me readings at school that I do not like or interested in, so the truth is I never read them, when I went to high school my parents gave me a book about my favorite subject that is "nutrition", so I read it and enjoyed it a lot, I can say it was the beginning of this love story towards reading. Then I started to read more and more about all the topics I liked, stories I liked and almost all kinds of books on topics I liked.
My favorite book is by Loreto Zesma and it called "317 Kilometers and two emergency exits" I love this book because I identify a lot with it, because I think love is a really important thing because without love, you cant be happy, and the point of life is to be happy. I also like to read because it gives you a lot of culture and wisdom, it expands your vocabulary and it gives you a lot to talk about.Â
