I watched a video where a guy who doesn't like visual novels was playing a visual novel and one of his complaints stuck out at me, he said he doesn't like it that the girls don't have a "choice" about dating the player. Like, bro... you know they're not real, right? It's a story. The writer is telling a story in first person and that person just happens to be the player character. Do the characters in books have a "choice" about the way their story plays out? Do the NPCs in other video games have a "choice" about getting shot by you?

It reminds me of another video I watched a while back (and immediately told youtube to not recommend me anymore) where somebody was exposing the "dark secret" behind some art of a severely injured anime girl in the hospital and it's just fetish art. People cannot help what turns them on. The host would say things like "I can't believe they'd do this to this anime girl" YOU KNOW SHE'S NOT REAL, RIGHT? The artist drew her. She's just lines. Nobody was hurt, nobody is being hurt, it's just a drawing. And it probably wasn't supposed to be seen outside fetish circles! If anything the Dark Secret is somebody leaked this art to the normies and they got all weird about it.

sam has a midlife crisis. as in he ‘presents as an omega in his 30’s (late bloomer)’ midlife crisis.

he and dean butt heads more often than not. dean has always been protective and possessive as an alpha, but now? it’s worse. the scenting, the bickering, the lies. everything.

sam cannot spend his first heat alone, it could kill him if he isn’t too careful since he’s such a late bloomer. but dean isn’t letting him get a partner. man or woman, dean just isn’t budging.

but that isn’t enough to satisfy deans alpha. so dean starts babbling random shit to try and get to sam’s omega. to hit jackpot.

Dean is the toys on Sam’s shelf and the posters on his wall, Sam’s throw pillow and his entertainment system.
