i would absolutely love to write bigjitsu or general Rise fics, the problem is, i like, have terrible memory of the order of events so i would have to rewatch the show to be accurate in my fics, and i would, but i dont think i have the time for that, bc im working on a few other fics in different fandoms that are giving me trouble. (and also rewatching merlin, and re-reading one of the asoiaf (a storm of swords) for Reasons)

the trouble being that i cannot commit for the life of me. like, i will have an idea. i will have an outline. and i will have a sloppily put together few paragraphs. and then months will pass and that will be it. its also like, to keep me engaged, i cannot be brainrotting abt the fic ideas or the otp myself, like, i need to be in constant "oh and x happened and what do you think abt y" like, feedback and such, but i mean, theres not a lot of bigjitsu ppl ik out there.

but i do try! like, its def smth i want to do, i just have never actually finished a fic before.

listen i LOVE lou jitsu and big mama and im so thrilled that there are people out there who love them too. i could talk abt them ALL DAY its just real life gets in the way and drags me away from my fandoms for a bit

I too am a twenty something who's too invested but god they are just so special in my heart

its so hard to find some bigjitsu fics that focus on them-or at least feature them-without delving into baron draxum/lou jitsu or big mama x baron draxum x lou jitsu, which i know is a lot of people's otp/ot3, and thats fine, but its just not something i personally ship, so i tend to filter them out, which, honestly doesnt leave much else

if you do find any yoshi/big mama fics out there id love some recs, the few ive read, you probably have to, but let me link them anyways

Well, the last couple of this season is Splinter + Big Mama. Although, among the people, let's say this couple has the name Loumama (this is Lou Jitsu + Big Mama). I didn't find another name, well, okay. In general, I believe that they could restore their relationship after the breakup. Since in the last episodes of season 2, it is clear that Mama still loves Splinter. He's Lou Jitsu... He's Hamato Yoshi... ugh. And Splinter also still loves his ex and he saw that there was good left in her. I believe they could be together again. For example, if the continuation of the series had been released, maybe we would have been shown these two, how they go on dates and remember their youth, restore their relationship and as a result, this duo reunites again. Big Mama could be a new member of the Hamato family, for example. And she could be a mother to the turtles, well, or something like that.

Другого названия я не нашла, ну, ладно. В общем, я считаю, что они могли бы восстановить свои отношения после расставания. Так как в последних сериях 2 сезона, видно, что Мамочка всё ещё любит Сплинтера. Он же Лу Джитсу... он же Хамато Йоши... тьфу. И Сплинтер так же, всё ещё любит свою бывшую и он увидел, что в ней осталось хорошее. Я верю, что они смогли бы снова быть вместе. Например, если бы вышло продолжение сериала, может нам показали бы этих двоих, как они ходят на свидания и вспоминают свою молодость, восстанавливают свои отношения и в итоге, этот дуэт снова воссоединяется. Большая Мамочка могла бы стать новым членом семьи Хамато, например. И она могла бы стать для черепах мамой, ну, или типа того.

There's a white noise in the bedroom, might be the ambiance of the city or the hum of contentment felt between them. The occasional gentle shuffle of skin against the comforter is joined by the soft back and forth murmurs of the couple laying below it as, in a bout of clinginess, Big Mama pleads her boyfriend to let her keep cuddling him instead of going to work, but he's got promotional stuff to attend or smth. He gently runs his palm beneath her top along her stomach and side. 'This is so much more fun and warmer. You don't have to go, I won't be mad at you,' Big Mama says sweetly. Lou Jitsu chuckles, 'I'm sure you won't, but my manager will be.' Although he can't blow off work this time, he humors the both of them and stays with Big Mama 15-20 minutes extra. The sound of her calm breath is worth the glares and hissing whispers asking why he's late Lou Jitsu gets from the event organizers. Though Big Mama accepts his absence, she misses him, and Lou Jitsu happily makes it up to her by cuddling with her later that day with nothing to prematurely tear him away. There's no lighthearted, sleepy arguing this time. Still, Big Mama drapes her legs around him just to make sure he stays.

Alright anon, I did this for you while I was sitting in the back of one of my classes but campus wi-fi was pretty shitty and I did this on snap

It turned out terrible but i did my best 😭

See, it was kind of tricky, especially as I definitely think big mama, as a yokai, has lived a long life. The spider yokai Jorōgumo develops magic powers and begins to feed on human prey after reaching 400 years of age. So she’s gotta be older than that.

The squashes a bug/screams about the bug had the funniest potential considering what type of yokai she is, but eventually I decided on leaving em pretty much in the middle. Neither are scared of the bugs, but neither squashes them much either bc big mama eats them sometimes.

As for the relationship experience, I feel like, as someone whose lived a long life, I think she’s had her fair share of flings. It’s just, she’s never cared for someone the way she cares about Lou Jitsu and he’s the one person in her life she’ll think she’s actually gonna miss when she’s gone. Jorōgumo tend to prey on their lovers, eating them/draining them when they’re done. But she met Lou Jitsu and couldn’t help but want him to stay. So while having relationships isn’t new to her, the type of relationship she has with Lou Jitsu is.

i love those aus. big mama and lou jitsu really did just capture my attention, idk, i love tragic ships, i love doomed by the narrative ships, i love it when there is betrayal and hurt and complexities but none of that changed anything bc at then end of it, you know, the love was still there and will always be there.

(yes, this is me losing my mind over will scarlet and anastasia from ouatiw once again, my middle school obsession has come back full force)

it absolutely would change so much! you're right! the turtles may not have existed, or they might have some other way! i love this one au that i've seen floating around tumblr (i believe it was @tblsomedoodles family web au) where the kids are lou jitsu's and big mama's (so half-yokai) but baron daxum experiments on the kids when they're young, and mutates them into the turtles they are now, and lou jitsu into the rat man he becomes. (i do believe the big mama/lou jitsu is a past thing in that au, which allows for a canon compliant-ish path at times, one that is so interesting to see unfold)

i love that! i love all the different ways the turtles could have happened. i love aus where big mama and lou jitsu got married, but baron daxum got his hands on lou jitsu anyways, kidnapping him and mutating the turtles. the other day i was thinking of an au where after a battle nexus, when lou jitsu is getting checked over at the medics (a routine thing) baron daxum bribes one of the medics into getting him a sample of lou jitsu's DNA (or he just steals it) and mutates the turtles anyways.

there are so many ways they could happen and i love to see every single one

Hwat do you think Lou Jitsu and Big Mama's love languages are? Do you think they lived with one another before the proposal? I occasionally wonder if Lou Jitsu spoke Japanese to Big Mama in private just because he felt comfortable enough with her (considering how weird Hollywood was towards his heritage in public)

on love languages:

i think they were both pretty big on physical touch, quality time, and words of affirmation. i think they both hyped each other up all the time and genuinely looked forward to spending time together, be it cuddled up on the couch watching tv, dancing, etc.

i do believe that lou jitsu favored acts of service while big mama was big on gifts.

(my mind just went aha how messed up is it that fighting in the arena could be an act of service from lou jitsu to big mama, while big mama could misconstrue it as her gifting lou jitsu an opportunity to improve his fighting prowess, offer him a challenge, and share the spoils of the battle nexus with him)

on lou jitsu's heritage:

i definitely think he spoke japanese to her in private. as a spider yokai who has probably lived a long LONG time, i so think big mama has travelled the world before and settled in countries all over during the centuries. i think she was pleased when lou jitsu chose to share his heritage with her, and after realizing just how weird hollywood was towards it in the first place, i think she was happy she could offer him some sort of peace with her, opting to choose her own heritage with him as well, something she did not really do with past partners. (though, she decided to wait before springing the whole "spider yokai" business on him)

You think Sho was still alive when Lou Jitsu met Big Mama or nah? I could see Sho dying shortly before Lou Jitsu met her and so his relationship with her became a great pick-me-up/distraction from his passing and he was appreciative of that and it just kinda feeling like she was like a light that brightened up a dark moment for Lou Jitsu but then she became the person that reinvited darkness into his life when she used him and and and ! !

so sorry for the late response, this ask just. OOF. had me on the FLOOR just taking it all in because yes, i absolutely thought that Sho had probably passed when they met, but did not think about it as much as you clearly have. now though? now i definitely am.

see, before when i thought of sho, i really wasnt sure about when to place his death. lou jitsu and big mama dated for like, over a decade pre-proposal, and when they met it was during one of lou jitsu's earlier movies iirc (could be wrong but i dont think i am? do correct me if i am tho) and. idk, i was thinking one day and i thought, well. lou jitsu was clearly serious about big mama, and so, if sho was alive, would he have introduced her to him?

but then, i also thought, lou clearly loved her enough to want to marry her, it could be assumed he would not be opposed to start a family with her, but also, if he did, would that not mean he would have to tell her about their clan duties? surely if he didnt, sho would. but lou jitsu also left his grandfather and their clan, he claimed to disbelieve in the existence of shredder, and when sho came up to lou jitsu's trailer, he sent him away.

lou jitsu met big mama AFTER he sent sho away, and i definitely think that some time in between seeing his grandfather and meeting big mama, sho passed.

i'm thinking abt leading up to the proposal, the buying of the ring, the asking big mama to marry him, maybe thinking of telling her the stories he grew up learning because maybe those are the stories their kids will grow up learning too--and then running his hand through his hair, taking a breath, laughing to himself and telling himself not to get ahead, she has to say yes first.

see the thing is, like, i feel what splinter told leo wasnt the full story, about his relationship with her--it was the sparknotes version. like, yes, all that happened, but that is not ALL that happened. i def think they had smth going on even after the proposal. like. he broke in to steal a picture of the two of them from her ROOm. he still gets her flustered by his name for her. he still gets weak for her eyes. he mentioned his time as the battle nexus champion with some level of appreciation too--he liked being the champion, he liked having fans, he liked the hidden city. it was the later half, when something happened. he wanted to stop. he became a pacifist.

we dont know why or how this change happened but it also shifted their relationship--which confuses me because, the version leo gets has him behind bars immediately after the proposal/spider reveal. which, could happen, but doesnt line up with the rest? unless of course, giving the sparknotes version to leo meant blending the big mama+battle nexus years together, meaning "early relationship" and "latter half" of the relationship are both given as a basic rundown of the important bits which yeah, tracks.

she did reinvite darkness back, and thats why it hurts him--he wanted to be more than her champion and he still doesnt know if he was. because he refused to fight and then he was in a cell and then he had turtle sons and then he was a rat man and then he was living in the sewers.
