Whispers

I’ve been thinking a lot about the theme of whispering in Taylor Swift’s lyrics, as ‘whisper’ is used repeatedly, album after album (36 times total).

I first noticed the connection of present day Taylor speaking to her muse in imgonnagetyouback the same way that she does in Enchanted.

This got me thinking about when it was that Taylor actually met Karlie, which if you do a deep dive into the lore as @sophietv did, you can see that it was likely in 2008. Enchanted was released in 2010.

Then there’s the connotation of whispering about a secret love, a forbidden love. It continues throughout Taylor’s work, a constant struggle to be with the one she cannot.

There are references to shared, secretive moments, whispered confessions. She’s with her lover in the dark, hidden away from public sight. Her true identity is concealed.

The connections, or Konnections rather, are so strong. When you peel back the layers of each album, you notice the continuity of themes and a singular muse in Taylor’s work. Her truth is clear. Her muse is undeniable.

Okay, hear me out….. zooming into the lower left quadrant…to the center of the Daisy 🌼 (KK)… to this old lady, who’s been through years of fertility treatments and IVF cycle’s….the center of the 🌼 looks like a fertilized egg.

Could this be a stretch?! Yes of course, but through my Kaylor- trained 👀, I’ve learned to look for nuances and clues through different perspectives than the obvious.

I don’t have a detailed timeline of KK’s first pregnancy but I would guess in 2019, due to their crazy globe-trotting schedules, that a tiny little pebble would be frozen until timing works out to make the transfer and implant.

The notion that Taylor doesn't like gaylors is so funny to me. We're truly the biggest nerds in this fandom and you cannot convince me she isn't into that. Who else is out here reading Untamed and Dickinson and analysing The Wizard of Oz and The Truman Show and learning so much about queer history and listening to Dusty Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, James Taylor and countless of other artists, analysing their lyrics, making connections, and all that not just because of her, but because we're truly in it now. And whether the connections we're seeing are real is truly anyone's guess, but I don't think it matters so much as the act of engaging in these artists' works, really diving in there, attempting to understand and actually SEE them and what they've been trying to say. You cannot honestly believe that this type of shit isn't EXACTLY what Taylor would want us to be doing.

I have been thinking about the capitalism of it all with the constant merch, various record editions etc..

Some of us have strong feelings on this subject but I have a hopeful outlook to it all.

Of course she’s become a billionaire and she has billionaire’s bills (mortgages, legal, pr, security, stylist, etc) and is supporting family members, all her companies costs and payrolls…

-she keeps singing she’s a cowboy conman

- I’m picturing her amassing all this wealth, especially in the last 2 years of Eras tour, movie, etc. and strategically planning on how to use it for the greater good that we haven’t and may not see ever…

Of course she’s made incredible food bank donations in every city and trucker/dancer/singer bonuses but what if she’s planning on giving millions away to LGBTQIA, reproductive rights organizations, etc either publicly or anonymously?!

Remember that passage in TSHOEH?

The day of the Stonewell riots Evelyn, Celia, Harry and John sat on their roof and decided from that day forward they would privately fund the fight for LGBT+ rights and continued ever since.

Just some thoughts that maybe there’s purpose behind this apparent cash grab while her star is the brightest.

If she’s not already planning some big, benevolent donations, maybe it’s time for her start…..
